Miserable in Mesa

Oh Boy. I am up feeling lousy and I decided to do some homeopathic searches on help. By some great luck I ended up here. Help me if you can ! Please.

1. I am 52 years old going on 85 I think. Have extreme allergies to most conventional medications and must take them with great care and moderation. Extremely sensitized to smells, alcohol, cigarettes, perfumes, etc.
2. My predominant initial problem is extreme menopause. Had a total hysterectomy several years ago. Cannot tolerate HRT. HRT, in fact, created a heart arrythmia problem that I am trying to recover from at the moment. Have extreme hot flashes, bone chilling cold flashes, depression, joint aches complete with teeth chattering so violent I actually loosened a filling in my mouth. Extreme joint pain primarily in knees and hips but some in elbows. Some pretty deep depression on occasion. All seem to have come after surgery.
3. These symptoms are pretty much sporadic throughout the day. I can be reading a book or working the garden, stressed or calm. The joint aches are constant. Makes moving painful quite often. The depression is off and on and is combined with copious crying or anger.
4. I do have a huge amount of stress in my life but that is nothing new.
5. I have gained a large amount of weight almost all in my abdomen. I am constantly starving. Craves sweets and grease.
6. I drink very limited amounts of caffeine due to my heart arrhthmia. No food specifically seems to make this worse. It is just 'worse' all the time.
7. Over the course of my adult life I have had 7 abdominal surgeries all related to ovarian problems.
8. I have tried acupuncture and am currently doing reflexology which seems to help my stress but not my menopausal symptoms. I tried several different routes of hormone replacement some with very bad results (ie, made me feel much worse) and some with good results for the meno but resulting in problems with my heart.
9. I do have some kidney damage from a dangerous overprescription of pain meds from about 7 years ago. The reflexology assists with that problem somewhat.
10. Help! Please. My husband is begging you. And me, too.

1. describe your main suffering? my joints feel like they are filled with sand and difficult to move. primarily knees and hips but sometimes elbows and wrists and ankles as well. the hot flashes feel like i am drenched in burning oil from my head down to my feet. they start at my chest and then radiate out from there. the cold flashes feel like knife sharp pains that turn into shivering episodes. my pulse goes pretty low (although it is generally low for me - hi 50's) when i have the chills it will drop into the mid 40's

2. what other physical sufferings do you have in your body? i have some pain and tightness in my right kidney but i do some breathing exercises i got from the reflexologist and drink several glasses of fresh watermelon juice a day per her advice.

3. what mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? i feel very discouraged when this happens. i try my breathing which will help some after awhile. i feel discouraged and depressed when this happens over and over and over each and every day and night.

4. what exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? describe the sensation in your own words. i either feel like i am being boiled in oil or stuck in the arctic on a glacier with no clothes. my joints are throbbing, my kidney is throbbing and then i am usually begging my husband to smother me or something

5. when did it all start? can you connect it to any past event or disease? about a month after i had a total hysterectomy (including ovaries) about 2 years ago

6. which time of the day you are worst? it is pretty much random any time of the day or night.

7. what are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc.
nothing seems to help. it is just like a wave i have to ride out. sometimes cold water will help but only for a moment.

8. do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)? i know that stressful situations can bring them on but they don't always. i have had a pretty hi-stress life. abusive first husband for almost 20 years and now we struggle with a daughter that has a heroin addiction and a lot of associated ugliness. i do a lot of relaxation techniques because i believe the mind and body are all tied together, can't fix one without the other. i do a meditation every day. i work in my garden every day. i have some narcotics anonymous family support material i read every day. even with that and when i am not in noticeable stress this occurs. nothing seems to make it stop.

9. when do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather? neither. no different whether i am inside high powered air conditioning or outside in arizona summer heat. just random.

10. describe your general mental set up? are you moody, arrogant, mild, agreeable changeable, nervous, suspicious, easily offended, quiet, arguing, irritating, lazy etc.
i am busy, work on choosing happiness every day, very creative, talkative, most would say bubbly.
- how do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
same
- do you like being consoled during your tough times? yes, my husband is excellent at it.
- are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc? extremely. smell primarily.

- do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc? sometimes i bite my nails.

- how do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife? i really enjoy them all. my one daughter i quite possibly hate. or i hate her lifestyle and what it does to our family. my parents are good. i have an obnoxious sister but another nice one and one of my sisters just died three months ago but it didn't make my symptons worse or better.

11. what are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly? i fear violence. no repeat dreams. i used to many years ago but they went away after a lot of counseling from the abusive marriage and after settling into the good marriage i feel very secure and happy.

12. what do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions? i crave sugar, sometimes salt. hate anything slimy or fishy.

13. how is your thirst: less, normal or excessive? i pretty much only drink water (plus one or two glasses of fresh watermelon juice everyday) i probably drink 6 or 8 glasses of water a day. don't know if that is excessive or not.

14. how is your hunger: less, normal or excessive? one extreme or the other. either i forget to eat or i'm totally starving. or i wake up at night totally starving.

15. is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand? curry makes me violently sick. can't do a lot of preservatives or msg they make me quite ill. can't tolerate alcochol. if i take a sip of a beer it feels like it is burning my stomach out.

16. is your sweat normal or less or more? where does it sweat more: head, trunk or limbs? normal unless i am having a hot flash and then i am dripping all over. literally.

17. how is your bowel movement and stool type? i am very regular. go first thing in the morning and then once again the afternoon. generally well shaped with no strain to have a bm.

18. how well do you sleep? do you have a particular posture of sleeping? i sleep on my right side. i haven't slept well in sometime because of the hot/cold flashes. i sleep deeply when i am not having one but they wake me up at least three times each night. the hot flashes i throw off the covers (we keep our room really freezing cold) and generally just do my breathing excercise until it passes. the cold flashes are worse because they are more painful.

19. do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? yes.

20. do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? how are you different from others? it's not really peculiar. i am just a sensitized person to medications, medical sitatuations. generally get all the weird side effects and/or reactions.

21. what medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication? i currently take metoprolol 25 mg to control heart arrhtymia i developed after starting hormone replacement therapy. had many heart tests and my heart is sound and strong, just beats extra slow and extra fast sometimes. the hormones did help some. i tried i think everything.... shots, patches, various replacements. had allergic reactions to some, no reactions to others, emotional bad reactions and finally took a moderatly high dose of estrogen replacement. quit that about 9 months ago.

22. what major diseases are running in your family? none, really. my father is 80 and has some heart issues recently. my mother is 76 and had her hip replaced. my parents are both very sensitized to meds as well.

23. describe, how do you look like? describe your overall appearance.
(for females) i'm cute but fat. most of my weight is distributed around my stomach which i detest.
24. if your menstrual cycles are not normal, please describe the irregularities, like pains, moods, flow type, clots etc. none now but they were always basically flooding for two weeks, horrible pms, etc. i had three live births and five miscarriages.

25. what major diseases have you had in your life and when. please write them in a chronological manner. everything i have ever had has related to ovarians cysts and unsolved side pains. started at age 14 with various surgeries and procedures.

sorry to write in all caps. i thought it might be easier for you to read.

thank you for your help.

You might want to go to the adrenal fatigue web site, which is those 2 words together and dot org instead of com, (I can't post the url since I'm new here) to see if that's part of your problem. All the stress you've had could bring it on. It can make the duration of menopause longer and the symptoms worse, having been there and done that. I've been dealing with AF for probably 6 or 8 years and it's a hard condition to live with.

I hope you find some help soon.

I always thought a complete hysterectomy would throw you into immediate menopause.

your remedy is LACHESIS.

this will cure most of your sufferings.

please take only two doses of LACHESIS 200C on one morning only. take both the doses within 30 minutes in empty stomach. dont take any food or water for the next one hour.

wait for 10 days and report your progress.

repetition of dose may be suggested once the improvements stop.
