Tinnitus in both ears.

I have recently (July 2008) gotten tinnitus in both ears - ringing in ears, like sound of crickets. No other symptom, no dizziness, colds, flu, etc.

Cause was loud noise trauma from an MRI machine. My ears has no wax, no neck problems, no other malady. I have been very healthy individual before, eat right, exercise, etc.

Any cure for tinnitus sufferers. I got tinnitus from unprotected ears during the loud da...da....da... da noise of an MRI machine which is upwards of 95 db. Any case, I got it in both ears. Previously I had hyperacusis - ie, sensitivity to loud noises, which I still do.

But this ringing in ears in extremely bothering me, its there 24/7. Latest research shows, its not the ear where its generated, rather in the brain. The brain gets stuck in some loop, or there is some 'shift' in brain's auditory perception whereby it starts generating this ringing sound in the affected ear(s) 24/7. I wish there was cure. There is no known cure to this date in conventional medicine.

My hearing seems to be fine, ie no hearing loss luckily, but tinnitus is there.

How are you with spending money ?

I dont spend a lot on myself in vanity, and quite frugal there. I dont have fancy car, living style etc, very simple life otherwise.

However, I am extremely generous in spending money on charity, education, personal health, and things that are of 'utility' to a person.

Regarding the ringing in ears, its basically a high pitch tone thats there.

Do you have a fear of poverty ?

Do you feel that financial security could ward off health risks ?

Do you save anything which may have a conceivable use - paper bags, rubber bands, etc. - all carefully stored and labeled - against future need ?

Are you an obessive planner ?

Are you a perfectionist ?
