please help

My 6 month old son suffers from reflux and I have given him a number of remedies that have worked but only for a short time.

Lately he has had diffuculty sleeping. Most nights he has trouble falling asleep. I will nurse him and put him down he is quiet and then usually starts screeming until I go into him and nurse him this may happen 2-3 times. I know he is tired but he cannot fall asleep without nursing to sleep. While he is crying he is also scratching the back of his neck and ear. I am not sure if he is in pain. ONce he is finally asleep he wakes after only a couple of hours and I have to nurse him to sleep again. I am getting frustrated because we are both tired and need more sleep. Can anyone help???
