Cataract formation after retinal detatchment surgery

I got an eye injury in around 1999 an airgun pallet which was cured with normal medicines and eye ointments. I suffered from false orientation and was observer to have retinal detatchment in 2002. I got that operated the same year and I was doing OK with 50 % vision in the operated eye. Now last year I have been observed to have cataract formation. I was wondering I can go for any alternate medicine to cure that or shall I consider surgery after cataract matures. I have heard about cineraria drops but not sure if I can use them in the operated eye and that will not create any problem.

Thanks DR for your reply. I would appreciate if you can tell me whether this would cure my cataract and avoid cataract surgery or it would just delay the cataract formation and I still would have to get it operated. Also, will this improve my glasses -10 plus some cyliders and spherical in injured eye and -3 along with cylinder and spherical in other eye, will this also improve my vision in the injured eye. Also if you have came across to similar case that you would have treated as I do not want to take chance with my eyes. I hope you understand.

Thanks dr, I have read that arnica directly affects to any antibodies in the body and throws them out. So I have never taken arnica after I got operated as I was afraid as it might take out or react with the ring that they have fixed in my operated eye to cure retinal detatchment. Can you shed some light on this and shall I still use arnica. Further, if the cataract gets delayed I think at any point of time they would operate the cataract and my vision would still improve in operated eye and I would be able to see without wearing glasses or soft lenses.

Regards,
Ishwar
