The ABC Homeopathy Forum

2 1/2 year old with asthma

My Son has asthma and with the sudden weather change we just experienced (hot to cold) his nose started running (clear discharge), he started wheazing and coughing. At night his symptoms get worst and he wakes up coughing and wheazing. The cough makes him throw up and is worst when he is laying down. It peaks at 2:00 a.m. and after that he can sleep better. His eyes are watery and the eyelids are red. He is restless, irritated and has no appetite. He is blonde and fair skinned and is highly allergic to cats. He is not on any allopathic medication for his asthma, and does not have any flare ups except for when he sees a cat or the weather changes to cold. I started giving him belladonna yesterday at 8:00 p.m. and every symptom was gone in 3 hours. After a while I started to hear him cough but nothing like the past nights. He was able to sleep through the night but when he woke up in the morning his nose was running again and he was coughing and the chest was congested. I gave him some more belladonna. I know that belladonna will not cure the asthma but I am happy that it has helped him. What can I do to permanently solve his problem and how long is it safe to give him belladonna?

He is an extrovert. He is joyful and playful always! Very organized and affectionate! He is creative and responds very well with adults and children of the same age. He knows what he wants and is very persistent but not in a bad attitude or mean way. He just seems like a natural negotiator. Thank you for your help.

please give him four doses of PHOSPHORUS 30C four hourly on a single day.

give the doses on the day he has asthma attack and his chest seems to be congested.

if you feel phosphorus has produced some response,

next episode of the same nature would call for PHOSPHORUS 200C same dosage.

please report after 2 months.

Phosphorus has worked well and he has not been having any problems breathing or wheazing. He did catch a head cold and it has lingered on. A cold would normally have triggered the asthma, but it didn't this time. Thank you so much for your help. Please advice if any further treatment is recommended.

Dear Aline,

If you have gone upto 200c and he has responded well, then there is no further need for any doses.

He should be well on his way to recovery, thanks to the excellent prescription by Rishi.
