Child kidney stones

My 18 year old son complained for one week of sensitivity while urinating, and dull ache on the left side of his back. After one week, he woke up at 6 AM with excruciating pain on left side of back, groin, testicle. He could not sit still.

We took him to the hospital. They had to give him morphine for the pain.

He had a lot of blood in his urine, and uric acid in his urine. They said he must have kidney stones.

The worse pain subsided in about 7 hours.

He is still tender, has some difficulty urinating, and at times gets waves of pain, but not as bad as he had before.

What remedy should I give him?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please get ultrasound to confirm size & location of stone, also urine RE report required to ascertain the extent of infection.

I tried to get the doctors to do an ultrasound, but they would not, because the pain improved.

They said it is obviously uric acid stones, and they will pass on their own. They said it could take weeks.

So, I am here trying to get a remedy that will help.
