Father dying. Huge sense of loss. Seeing his father lose ‘everything’ before he died, such as his business of 40 years.

20. What part of your life do you have the most difficulty coping with?
Relationship with mother, and sister (to a lesser extent than mother).

Why is that?
Because mother is patronizing and put him boarding school early on in life. Sister is upsetting because she is self-centered and not really interested in him or his family.

21. What was your childhood like?
Was diagnosed with ADD in grade 2 at 7 or 8 years old. Loved up until 11 when sent to boarding school and felt abandoned. Became streetwise, a loner and had to make his own rules. Sure there is some deep psychological trauma to this. Diagnosed with scoliosis at age 11 and had daily physio. Felt surrounded by love. Non-religious household which allowed him to explore esoteric aspects of life. Could see auras pre-puberty. (Around 30 could see flashes of colour around people again that was linked to their emotions).

Describe your parents and your relationship with them.
Very loving but they weren’t a really good judge of advice from others. Mother had some violent outburst including an awful event at 11 involving an episode of physical abuse. He does not remember it. Feels blanked out because it was so ‘horrific’. Relationship with father totally awesome until he got sent to boarding school, but after then he felt betrayed and that if he really loved him why was he going to boarding school (he boarded in his own home town and parents lived within a mile or so.

Describe your relationship with your siblings and other extended family members.
Pretty good relationship with younger sister but this was curtailed when she was also sent to boarding school.

Did anything in your childhood have a profound effect on you?
A Buddhist monk that he saw a lot of between ages of 7 to 13. Important because he opened different levels of his consciousness that his family couldn’t. But family knew that he was a good influence.

Worse experience with a profound effect was being sent to boarding school. Also mentioned scoliosis.

Describe your school and college life.
Loner, but did have a small circle of close friends. Frustrating. Lonely because away from family who he thought did not want him. Violent due to boarding school pecking order. One frightening experience of near molestation.

23. What is your occupation?
Managing director of consultancy firm.

What differentiates you from the other people in your place of employment?
He’s the leader.

What difficulties do you have at work?
Unsure

24. What is your self-confidence level ?
Out of ten points – 9. Feels good, strong and positive about the future.

25. What fears do you have?
Talking too much risk, mainly business risk. However, does not like to play it safe either.

Do you have any phobias?
No

26. What parts of yourself or your life would you change if it were at all possible?
Dad’s death. Skin problems.

27. What do you do to relax?
Plays computer games at night. Meditate.

28. Describe all other aspects of your nature in detail.
Bad ones: revengeful, holds grudges, unforgiving, brooding
Good ones: good friend, loving, affectionate, honest, likes friendship
Also: makes decisions on instincts.
Happy things: children, wife, immediate family. Running a business with wife. Close friend and his family.

Goals: Grow business. Lose weight and get fit. Better life for my family – bigger house, travel, etc.

Reflections on husband from wife: starts things but can’t seem to be consistent. Can become overly general and has difficulty with detail. Allows home office to get in terrible shape then will spend an entire weekend cleaning it up, but it soon deteriorates again. Is insensitive to the sheer amount of skin flakes that an itching session can produce and does think to clean up after himself and feels down if you ask him to do so. Driver’s seat floor always full of skin flakes and sheets and quilt on his side of the bed often are bloody in the morning. Takes long showers. Often complains of painful anus after stool. Likes to be scratched especially back of head. Generally is on an even emotional keel, but can seem distanced from step-daughter. Loves to read, including rather technical books. Spends hours in front of the computer at work and at home. Loving father. Very kind and loving to me and often does sweet things. Highly sexual and has sexual fantasies and desires sex daily. Doesn’t get outside much. Is mainly an in-door person. Happy to tinker on computers, work on programs. Often untidy with putting his clothes away, but likes to look nice when he dresses in the morning he looks great. Occasionally suffers from a pain in one of his eyes. When his psoriasis is really bad he lays on our bed quietly and will often fall asleep. He is unreliable on the weekend as he can feel very low energy and apathetic.

Hi,

I will work on the case today and will get back to you.
Take care...

What we have here is one of the many forms of eczema and eczema HATES water . In cleaning skin use lanolin based non medicated creams. Many of the descriptions given call for Sulphur . Scoliosis was almost certainly a misdiagnosis. Normally sheletal deformation is involved.
Many of the details point to Pulsatilla - but think Calc Sul may be best. In any case one should start with a miasmatic remedy and as there has been some cancer in the hereditary bacground , suggest that Carsinosin is used

COURSE SHEET
DIET.. Avoid where possible:- Pepper , spices , use coffee as weak as possible , red meat . alcohol , i.e. keep intake to minimum tolerable . Use unprocessed whole foods without additives or flavourings ; & preferably avoid cow produced dairy products.
GENERAL. Smoking __________________avoid___________________________
Alcohol ___________________avoid__________________________
Sex ____________________avoid_________________________

EXERCISE . DO NOT GET OVERTIRED.Exercise should be in the hands of experts.
TABLETS [OR DROPS]
Preliminary Course: _ 30/1m/10m 1 tab at 24 hr intervals. Advise after 7 days.
OTHERS: 10m keep in reserve .
Main course - BOT 1 30 1 tab on days 1 & 7
BOT 2 6 1 tab on days 2 to 6 & 8 to 13
BOT 3 10m 1 tab on day 14
Advise 3 days after completion , before if any query.
[1]Tablets which fall to the ground , or touch other people should be discarded.
[2] Tablets should be tipped from the bottle into the lid and transferred to the mouth, before the lid is replaced on the bottle .
Do not eat or drink for 10/15 min before or after taking a tablet.
Homoeopathic medicines require some special handling and storage - so that they may not lose their power and become inert as a result of contaminatíon. They should always be kept in the container in which they are supplied. They should be kept away from strong líght, from great heat and especially from exposure to strong odours or perfumes, for example camphor, menthol, moth balls, carbolíc soap. The medicines are usually supplied in the form of pills, tablets or powders. The dose should be típped into the contaoner lid and transferred to the mouth, or, if in powder form be tipped direct on to the tongue. No water need be taken to "wash the medicine down". Absorbtion takes place from the mouth - chew or suck the tabfets or pills. Sometimes the remedy is needed to be taken in water. The cup, glass, or spoon used should be "cleansed" before further use for another remedy. The dose should be put into a "clean mouth". It should not be taken until the mouth is free from the effects of food, drínk, tobacco smoke, taothpaste, mouth washes and confectionery. An interval of a quarter of an bour should suffice. While taking homoeopathie remedies it is pr-eferable to avoíd use of other medicines including laxatives, nasal drops and liniments.

Thank you magicure and passkey! Please forgive the lack of an immediate response. I suspect our time difference is at least 16 hours or more as I am in Australia.

I am deeply grateful for your help and my husband is very excited that perhaps some change for the good and some relief might be in the near future.

Regarding allopathic medicines - well, none really. I have been a devoted user of homeopathy for ten years and his family is also, and I am very afraid of suppressing this illness.

Passkey, forgive my ignorance, but what does BOT refer to? I see that you suggest 30/1m/10m but I am not sure of what remedies. Please clarify - many thanks.

Thank you magicure for your post - we look forward to hearing from you.

Best, Goldcoast

Apologies magicure - I see you also asked for homeopathic treatment, which is as follows:

during treatment with a local homeopath where sulp, tub m, silica, thuja, calc carb and lycopodium were prescribed, the abscess phase began and this was simply horrific. It was been two years before I could convince my husband to try homeopathy again other than what I give him at times. While the abscess phase was awful I took it as a good sign, but I feel it was badly managed as he suffered greatly.

When he gets very bad I find one dose of sulphur 30 will stop an itching fit, but I'm reluctant to go farther and repeat this remedy too often without a plan. I did recently give him tub m and this appears to be the reason why his lesions grew suddenly (I think...).

The weekend when it all got very bad was the same weekend he his home office hit rock bottom in terms of mess, he took up a computer game he had given up because I complained it isolated him and was a return to the 'old days' and his skin was 'itchy and on fire' and the blood just flowed after his itching sessions.

I gave sulphur and the skin has definitely calmed down (lesions still huge of course and itchy but crisis calmed), he's cleaned up his room nicely, he's done a fantastic financial budget for our business for 2005, and he's balanced his playing of the computer game by coming to bed and reading instead. This is in the last 24 hours!

I think calc carb is probably spot on, as is sulphur. Occasionally he shows signs of lycopodium - mainly in hesitation to do something new and then it works out nicely and he is pleased and relieved.

But I look forward to your fresh and unbiased perspective.

Thank you again.

Sorry Bot refers to the Bottles I used to supply remedies in exact quantities for a course.
So to refer back
I suggest Carsinosin 30 -on day one,,, 1m on day two ,,, & 10m on day three . Wait 7 days and advise any change,

Later when all is clear start 2nd part ;which is a 14 day course .
Bot no 1 ; Calc sul 30 [1 tablet on days 1 & 7]
Bot no 2 ; Calc sul 6 [1 tablet on days 1 to 6 & 8 to 13]
Bot no 3 ; Calc sul 10m [1 tab on day 14 ]

If this is all too complicated use Carsinosin 1m on 3 consecutive days at bedtime. wait 7 days . [advise any change]
later use Calc sul 10m on 3 consecutive days at bedtime and wait 7 days .[advise any change]
NB thsi site does not stock Crasinosin - you may have to obtain locally

Thank you Passkey for your clarification and plan - I feel carsinosin makes a lot of sense - I'm going to check out calc sul in my books today.

I can get the remedies locally - I'll enquire today.

Hopefully we can begin this plan by middle next week once I have all remedies in hand.

Back to you soon.

I would like to know the philosophy behind the way you prescribe (30 on day 1,1M on day two,10M on day three).

Why not the same with Calc.Sulph? Why should it be 30,6 and 10M?

I am curious.I know people, who do it like this, but never had a chance to ask why do they do so.Can you pl.share with us?

Murthy - I forget where I read iy , but was a long time ago and I have used this method with success for many years . It was known [probably in 19th cent ] as the single divided dose , Must be administered at 24 hr intervals in ascending potencies. My opinion is that it is designed to overcome any resistance by increasing the "pressure" . I only do it with nosodes at the start of a case - not as a norm.
The Calc Sul is designed to work after the effect of the prelim has worn off - it takes up the work on a lower but more extended level. And mixes the potencies over a period.
Not sure that I understand it ,but it works [for me!]

Passkey

Thanks for the info.

Let me see if I can find the philosophy behind it.I remember reading about this method sometime back.I have to search again.

In general, the method is o.k.except that you are giving the next potencies too fast, without observing the efects of the lower potencies. What I feel is the effect will be the same, even if you give 10M in the beginning itself.

I may be wrong.Let us see if there are other views.

Hi Passkey,

Happy New Year. Regarding calc sulph - I've been thinking about this all day: when my husband had his abscesses the crazy thing was that there was none of that terrible calc sulph smell. When these began to drain the drainage area became a huge hole (I'm not sure what country you are in so I can't mention a coin to give you an idea) and there was huge volumes of pus and so septic. Yet no smell.

But then as mentioned earlier, my husband is generally not smelly.

Thanks. Goldcoast

On re reading there does seem to be characteristics of Lycopodium here .
Low energy between 4 o/c - 8 o/c. Happy to be alone in room but wants someone else nearby. Fear of failure but rarely in danger of it.
Query - dose he also tend to eat little and often , rather than big meals with long gaps between. Also dose he hate oysters & if you look at his nose are his nostrils dark. Finally does he have fairly deep lines from the outside of his nostrils to the corners of his mouth.

passkey last decade
Hi Passkey,

No, deep lines - does have dark circles under his eyes (almost sepia looking and both his mother and sister share this look), long thin nose, salt & pepper hair at 34. Eats huge meals but does complain of being uncomfortable after some (huge meals are a result of boarding school I think).

Yes, fear of failure but also a strong confidence of success. Strange paradox. Wants to get the money right and is careful on spending most times. Big on budgeting but when in flux just drops this and it can be months before he takes it up again.

After a recent dose of sulph 30 to hopefully deal with the horrible crisis he was in that inspired this post, I mentioned that he's now cleaned up his home office, and has begun budgeting and planning for family and business finances. He feels very upbeat right now. But skin not really changed, just not the burning itching bleeding horrific crisis. The lesions are so huge and covered in white scales most times with scabs from bleeding after bad scratching episodes.

He does hate oysters but then again he does not eat seafood except for canned tuna fish drowned in mayonaise.

He was one long term friend and they are like brothers. His mother recently blew it again regarding making an issue of something involving money and the next day he woke up and felt terrible and down.

Thanks Goldcoast

Passkey, he's just had a major itching fit - he's in despair. I just can't believe how big these lesions are. He was sitting outside in the patio reading (its summer here) and had just had toast with peanut butter. He had to rush in and put on his soothing cream but he's in a bad way.

It does seem that we need to use the carsinosin first and then see where we are . The attitude to money seems to look at Calc carb - but the calc sul may be best.

passkey last decade
Thanks Passkey. I will order the carsinosin after today which was a holiday here in Australia. I'm excited to get my husband started on this. Thank you. Goldcoast

I was told one prominent symptom of Carcinosin is thick eye lashes, and unequal size of eyes.(One eye seems biger than the other.)

Murthy

bandarbabu2000 last decade
Murthy - not sure about eyelashes - unequal pupils are covered ny a number of remedies but never heard of Cars for that.
My studies are from Foubisters book -Tutorials on Homeopathy - see what you think.
