Toddler with stuffy nose

My son is 21 months and for the past few months has had a stuffy, itchy, and sometimes runny nose, sometimes accompanied by sneezing. It seems like allergies. He's also getting his molars, which may be related, but I'm not sure. In the past, the incoming of new teeth were usually accompanied by cold like symptoms, which left once the teeth fully emerged. His stuffy nose is usually worse at night while trying to sleep. He has to sleep with his mouth open to breath. He also breastfeeds and sometimes has to come off my nipple to breath. Sometimes he wakes up when breathing through his nose becomes more difficult and begins rubbing his itchy nose, which expels a clear discharge and some boogers. I've tried using an aspirator, but that doesn't work, nor does a humidifier. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him 3 doses of Nux Vomica 6c, spaced by 1 hour.

Dissolve 2 pellets of Nux-V 6c in 120 ml spring water, and a teaspoon from here is 1 dose.

Report in 72 hours after the 3 doses.

Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to add that when my son is outside, the symptoms disappear. So we try spend as much time outside as possible, but now that its cold, it's much harder to say out.

Can you tell me more about his temperament and behaviour as well ?

Is he a very clingy , affectionate child who loves physical contact and affection ?

He is affectionate and clingy sometimes, mainly when he's feeling uncomfortable (meeting someone new or if he's hurt himself), in which case he would want to nurse. He's also independent at times and will often play by himself with his toys and loves to write, draw and explore, but will let you know if he needs you to play with him. Overall, he's pretty cheerful and happy -- not much of a crier or a whiner.
