RaphOliveria- Qurestions

Hey, It is boca, the guy who you recommended Phos acid to. I'm actually going to take the remedy on tuesday because once I talked to my homeopath she agreed it was a good remedy to try out.

My other question is this though: Upon reading Homeopathic Psychology more indepthly, I feel I resonate with Sulphur and Nat Mur characteristics. although Baily says Natrum Sulph is primarily a remedy for females. All I know is that my emotional make up is very similar to that of a nat mur, but my intellect and constant inspiration is that of a Sulph. I also responded positively to Sulphur, and although it had cured some tihngs I was experiencing as well as temporarily restoring my mental vitality, It was not my end all consitutional since effect was minimal the higher the dosage went. What are your thoughts? any remedys that may not be as common that has characteristics of both nat mur and sulph?

p.s. I have not taken nat mur before

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Between both, you are more likely to be Natrum Muriaticum than Sulphur, just because in general there are a lot more Natrums than Sulphurs constitutions. I'm currently helping a person in this forum who is Natrum by the way, and I haven't found anyone so far who were Sulphur constitutionally. Of course you shouldn't rely only on statistics and you need to confirm it, and it's not too hard to do that.

There're a few signs that strongly helps to confirm Natrum, and one of them is the dislike of being consoled, Natrums hate being consoled. Another sign is that the problem of this constitution usually starts in childhood in terms of relationship with parents, and that could be the coldness (lack of affection and love) from any or both of the parents, or the death of any of them, or even if they're divorced. There's also that strong desire on giving that Bailey tells in the book, Natrum feels a need to give to people, money, gifts, favor, etc. Those are 3 very strong signs, if you don't relate to any of them then I doubt you're Natrum. But if you do, then you should continue to check to confirm it. Ask yourself these questions: 'Do you like to be consoled?', 'How affectionate are you and your parents to each other?' 'Do you like hugging and kissing them?' 'Do you feel a need to please other people by giving?'

Well one thing that you need to consider about Sulphur is that this is a very powerful remedy that covers a whole lot of symptoms, therefore it's not too surprising that you get some positive reactions from it so as many people do as well. I can tell based on my own experience that when I was trying to find my own simillimum I ended up trying Sulphur (30C) and I had for about 3 days the best improvement I ever had by that time. I was very happy. I'd later find out that this was actually not the right remedy as the effects started to fade, and the higher potencies (200C and 1M) didn't produce any response at all exactly the way you mentioned.

Now regarding Phosphoricum Acidum, my advice to you is that you should avoid drinking Coke or Pepsi while taking it, because those drinks have phosphoric acid in it, and that could antidote the homeopathic remedy as they could be working as a very low potency.

What's your weight by the way?

Wow, it's so hard to pin point, but I am an either or type guy.

But those three questions I feel like I do relate to on some level, but mostly in the past. Now-a-days I don't feel the need to please or give to anyone, But I think these are more something I need to think about. I'm very giving to close family, I do like hugging my parents ( but not really my brothers), but not kissing we have never been that affectionate of a family). Too much affection makes me uncomfortable. And I would only like being consoled by my girlfriend at this point, but as a child I liked consolation.

My weight fluctuates from about 145-160. Currently 155 and 5'9.

and you say 'you need to confirm it, and it's not to hard to do that'

How do you do recommend doing that the most effeciently? My current Hpath makes me take a remedy and then wait a month until trying something new

Thank raph, your time, and response is appreciated and helpful for me.

It's actually easier to find it when someone competent do it for you. I remember the time I was ill and after gone to a homeopath who prescribed 3 remedies to be taken at the same time, I started to research and study by my own after of course his prescription failed. I would only find the simillimum for my layer (chronic condition) after 4 months and after trying tons of remedies. Today when I look back to my condition and the remedy chosen, the selection seems so obvious, but by the time I was ill I couldn't see it, because you're ill, confused, depressed, hopeless, etc. If I had gone to a competent homeopath that wouldn't have happened and I wouldn't have taken the risk of almost give up Homeopathy during that tough time.

If your homeopath makes you wait for 1 month to then try something new, I doubt she ever had a chronic disease. I believe in order to build a good and attentive homeopath it will be fundamental if he/she had experienced and gone through a chronic condition before. Homeopathy should be a necessity to the people who prescribe before it becomes their profession. If it's mainly profession, hum... I don't know.

I haven't tried to help you by pointing to a remedy because you were already been assisted. I only got that information from the other thread to suggest Phos Acid but I haven't look hard and didn't do any case taking yet.

Apparently you're still following a treatment with her so I prefer not to give a final word to a remedy which may divide you and interfere with her work.

I usually do only case taking to people that I know they will also take the dosage recommended and post the result here, so the treatment is entirely done here in this forum then everybody can see the results.
