Chronic Vs Acute illness

Dear Friends,

I have a few queries which have came up due to my love affair with homeopathy.

For what I have learnt I can distinguish between a chronic illness and and acute illness, mainly by the mental symptoms and the effects on ones personality.

Chronic illness almost always effect the mind of a person and his personality.

At least the mental symptoms really help me in finding out a constitutional remedy.

However in acute cases where I do not see a strong miasm, I have a lot of difficult understanding the problem, as the personality and mind seems to be unaffected.

Then I have to look at only the physical symptoms, which mostly are hard to differentiate.

I have noted when I prescribe remedies to people on the basis on their Constitution they mostly work.

But in acute cases, Its very hard to predict in the first attempt.

Please help me understand this, so that I can help people in a better way.

Regards

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In this regard I have seen success with people combining medicines for acute illness.

I am truly a follower of the classical school of thought thus I disagree with this way of treatment. However, I have seen numerous occasion where in acute illness some formulas work like magic.

For example there is this formula I have seen work every time for throat and flu slight disorders.

Ars ALb
Bryonia
Bacillum
Gelsenium
Belledonna

This almost always have worked for many people who i know.

When they come to me for slight throat disorders I search for a single remedy and it takes 2-3 attempts.

Is it possible that combination should be tried for acute disorders?
