serious back pain. For curing back-pain there are

differnt asanas, but that is another issue.

The persons appearing in the photographs are Swami

Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna. These are taken

Shilajeet, Vasant Kusumakar Ras and Chandraprabha

Vati are also some other medicines of remarkable

influence in controlling diabetes.

Now last but not least-
Baba Ramdev has taken the Pranayam Techniques from

the himalayan caves to the masses.

If the pateint does
Bhastrika Pranayam for 5 minutes
Kapalbhati Pranayam for 30 minutes
also described in my post on kapalbhati in the

following link
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/134752/
(Most effective for the control and cure of

diabetes. If the sugar levels are very high

Kapalbhati should be practised in the evening also

for 30 minutes.)
Anulom Vilom Pranayam for 20 minutes
Also described in my post on Anulom Vilom Pranayam

in the following link
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/133092/1
Bhramari Pranayam for 2 minutes
Udageetha Pranayam for 2 minutes
he may not even have any need to take the

medicines.

Pranayam will not only normalize the sugar levels

it will also save patient from the ill-effects of

diabetes like kidney failure, heart failure, high

blood pressure etc.

So pranayam is like a deep acting anti-miasmatic

remedy that we have in homeopathy. But as two

patients will do pranayam with different levels of

sincerity there will also be a differential in

what they gain.

The yogasan and pranayam should always be done on empty stomach.

An ideal diet for a diabetic patient.

A diabetic patient should always take carbohydrates in the form of complex carbohydrates like grain, vegetable and fruits.
He should strictly avoid carbohydrates in simple form like sugar and foods made from or having sugar like cold drinks.
The simple fact is that if he takes food in form of simple carbohydrates absorption of sugar into the blood takes place rapidly and this raises the blood sugar level. As the pancretic function is impaired in a diabetic patient the insulin secretion required to facilitate the tranfer of blood sugar to body tissue cells does'nt take place. Now you can see that after taking simple carbohydrates inspite of the rise in blood sugar level the body tissue cells don't get the glucose and the body tissue cells are undernourished. So we have rise in blood sugar making patient susceptible to problems like high blood pressure, paralysis and heart problems. And at the same time as the body tissue cells are starved of glucose his energy level is low.
The other thing is foods in the form of simple carbohydrates do not contain fibre. Fibre rich food gives the sense of fullness after eating for a longer time which a fibre deficient food does'nt give. Therefore people having simple carbohydrates in their diet end up eating more and they tend to eat often.

What is the ideal diet for a diabetic patient?

A diabetic should eat plenty of green leafy vegetable like spinach.

Swami Ramdev recommends a food called dalia to diabetic patients.

To prepare 2 kg dalia you should take the following-
Wheat 500 gm
Rice 500 gm
Millet(bajra) 500 gm
Green Gram(Moong) 500 gm
Dry roast all the above separately in a skillet (kadai) for 10 minutes. Keep churning while roasting to ensure that it does'nt burn.
Then mix together. You may also add 50 gm white sesame seed and 20 gm ajwain. This 2 kg dalia you should consume within 3 months (maximum) from preparing. grind it in the form of broken grain at the floor mill. All Floor mills generally provide facility of such grinding.

cook dalia as follows
Take 100 gm dalia
Take 300-500 gm water
In a utencil cook 100 gm dalia with 300-500 gm water for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Please churn it at regular intervals of 2-3 minutes to ensure that it is cooked properly. You may add a pinch of salt to taste. Don't add spices.
The dalia is ready. Serve hot.
Do not temper (tadka) it with oil or ghee (clarified butter).
Enjoy it with a curry of green vegetable. You may also have takra(butter milk) with this meal.

Dalia is also available at all the retail outlets of Divya Pharmacy.
