Eczema

Have occasionally consulted a homeopathist in the past.
Am having a severe case of eczema. strted in Sept under a ring. red, itchy, blisters, swollen. Mostly looks like a light rash, but also has large bumps in spots. MD suggested either allergies or scabies. Have not been for final diagnosis to dermatologist. Don't want to take the MD prescription for this.

Exremely itchy, much worse in the last 2 months. Had something similiar a few years ago, and was prescribed hydrocortisone which removed it immediately.

Now that it's recurring, trying to address root cause.

Multiple food and plant allergies as a child, with asthma symptoms. No asthma now.

Rash started on finger, spread to round 1 inch patches on both wrists, and now there are pimple-sized red spots covering both arms- mostly on the outer area of the arms, and concentrated on the elbow areas.

Thank you for instructions about merc sol.

Reply to John Stanton:
Ring was made of 10k gold. Had not worn it for many years. After rash I boiled it and put it on another finger, and did not get another rash on that latter finger.

At the time of the rash I was under a lot of work pressure and my daughter had a serious injury to her fingers (now fully recovered). Otherwise had overall good health.

Rash then expanded to one small patch on each wrist. Now it's on many areas of my hands and arms. Looks and feels exactly like a poison oak rash I occasionally got as a child (although those would last a few days or a week, and did not expand beyond the small area of the initial contact).

When I bandage these rashes which are on the undersides of my wrists they completely subside and appear to heal within a few days. However, once the bandages are off they flair up again within a couple of hours.

Reply to John Stanton:
No significant symptoms in other areas. I'm 52 and having no menopausal symptoms except for lighter less frequent period. Currently experiencing minor itchy eyes and sneezing(hay fever-like symptoms), which is common to others in my area.

On no medications.

Itching is more noticeable in the evening. I can do two things to alleviate itching: rub olive oil into itching ares and the itching stops completely for at least 3 or 4 hours. If I apply something cold itching also stops completely -- but only while cold. Rash is all over the outsides of my hands, fingers, and arms, and none on my palms and slightly on the underside of my wrists. Rash sometimes looks more puffy in the evening.
