HELP.... Post Nasal Drip Stuck in Throat
I have thick post nasal drip stuck in my throat. I can't seem to get it to move withoutunbeliveable effort. I'm a singer and I can't sing with this. I may lose my job aside from this making me depressed and anxious. It's going on 2 weeks and just came out of the blue.
Is there anything that can stop this and/or thin the secretions so I can swallow it easily?. Do I need a constitutional remedy?

There is a little spray bottle in health store "for Clergyman's sore throat" (homeopathy)
Singers and clergy have used this for years.
We really need more about you as a person. For example, If you like salt, it is Natrum Mur. This is a strong post nasal drip. But, one has to fit some symptoms.
Please write some more symptoms. Ears...throat...did it begin with a cold...any sneezing??? These type of things. Better from hot or cold?

This just started one morning with a thick drip. I have had thin secretions when I have been over tierd but never so thick I can't move it. No other symptoms but the drip and a dryness in the nasal passages. When I'm outside and it's cold it feels better. Alhtough I hate the cold. I sometimes have nasal congestion than I won't. I'm on a short course of oral steriods that aren't helping. The mucous is clear and sometimes there is a thin mucous from my nose but most goes down my throat. I looked in the store and there were remedies for Post Nasal Drip but are they just temporary fixes? I can't sleep or function with this. It feels like I have something stuck in my throat.

Please tell me you are not taking that allopathic stuff over the counter. It CAUSES conditions like this.
Stop the steriods.....doctors use this when they DON'T know the cause or what it is.
You didn't answer if you like salt.
Please try some GELSEMIUM. This may do the trick. Get what potency you can and take 4 doses in one day and 2 the next and see how you are. Please continue reporting.

post nasal sufferers that love salt point to NATRUM MUR. It is more watery and easier to swallow than you discribe.
Because of the "lump" feeling in throat, I think Gelsemium is called for. Gelsemium also likes to be covered up with favorite blanket/quilt.

I went out and got Kali Bir and Hydrasis (sp?). I took
3 30C of the Kali this morning at a few hours later and noticed no change. Should I keep with it or try the Hydrasis. I guess I need to know how long you give these before you try another one. Also.. how do you know if the remedy may be the right one but your taking the wrong potency?
