irritation around mouth
Daughter, 8 years,this problem of redness/chaffed appearance, a ring aound whole mouth, started almost a year ago & I cannot get rid of it. Have tried loads of different creams. The latest one was from Doc, cannestan with hydrocortisone-this cleared it but a week later it came back. I think it gets worse as she licks around her mouth without realising. It does not involve her lips. Only the immediate area around all her lips/mouth. Sometimes very red & raw looking but no bleeding. Not painful, not itchy. Looks bad & gets conscious when people ask what it is. Sometimes it is very pale & nearly gone but then it flares up very quickly. She is otherwise very well, not on any meds. and only allergy we know about is to elastoplast. Previously I posted here for advice on permanent dark circles under eyes, arnica recommended but did not take these away.Any advice appreciated.
