tapeworms in dog

My dog recently got tapeworms after (I'm assuming) swallowing a flea. What do you recommend for a treatment protocol? Thank you.

Apart from the usual de-worm medication, i would suggest you to give:

SILICA 200 thrice a day
CRAB APPLE (Bach flower remedy) 4 drops mixed in a bowl of water four times a day.

I have a dog, age 14 years, who had worms in the stools. I have given him three doses (5 pils per dose) of Cina 1M at 1 hour interevals. Two days after given him Cina a lot of worms were expelled in the stools. Now there are live 2-3 worms that get expelled each day. Is the medicine working? Please help.

Yes the remedy is working. You may repeat the doses after 15 days if you observe that worms are still not fully expelled. You may give him bach flower remedy crab apple four times a day for 15-20 days.

After 15 days, 2 days ago I again gave my dog Cina 1M (3 doses - 1 dose every 1 hr)but he is stilling expelling live worms. Aren't the worms supposed to die? Should I also go for allopathy?

Yes. You can go for allopathy. i don't think that the combined treatment will do any harm.

Kadwa, thank you for your reply. However, I really wanted to know whether the homeopathic remedy Cina is working or not. Does Cina kill the worms or do the worms just get expelled?

LECTURES ON HOMŒOPATHIC MATERIA MEDICA

Presented by Dr Robert Séror

Sabadilla

..........
A routine remedy in pin worms, seat worms, all sorts of worms stomach and tape worms. A careful prescriber never thinks of prescribing for worms. He takes all the symptoms of the patient and these guide him to the remedy. I remember one time in a lady's house seeing a dog drag his hinder parts over the carpet as if to scratch the anus. She said:

'Doctor, can't you give the dog a remedy?'

I put a dose of Sabadilla in its mouth. Some time afterwards she asked me:

'Doctor, what did you give the dog that medicine for?'

I inquired why she asked.

'Why,' she said, 'in a few days it passed an awful lot of worms.'

Sabadilla and Sinapis nigra are well adapted to cases in which pin worms are present. Often a remedy restores the patient to order in general and then all his particular parts are set in order.

.............

In my opinion the homeo remedy arouses vital force and vital force effects the changes at physical and mental levels. Now whether vital force can expell worms or kill it. i could locate a reference to worms in lecture notes on mm by Kent. But there also it is not given that worms were expelled dead.
