Swollen ankles and wrists

Hi im 39 years old and generally of good health, however i am overweight by 2 stones and have in the last couple of years developed swollen ankles and wrists, there isnt any pain or any kind of discomfort but people keep asking me if ive hurt myself or have water retention, but i dont know what the reason is, so its now quite noticeable so am looking for a remedy
