Eczema or Psoriasis... Please help

My wife is suffering from the eczema for last almost 8 months. The problem in detail is as following:

Current Problem:
Eczema on
- all around neck in the necklace form.
- on the upper left arm, outer side.
- on the both knees, outer side.
- on face left of the left eye.
- On fingers especially behind nails (only very small pimples that itch).
- Itching aggravates during sleep time
- Warmth aggravates the itching
- Hot water bath used to aggravate the itching… now for last couple of weeks even cold water gives the problem
- Feels good out of the blanket.

The affected area problem starts with very small pimples that itch a lot and later eruption forms the larger area. Too much itching occurs on all the above mentioned parts of the body. Itching causes the skin to get dry and brownish red. Skin is brown and scaled also. Sometimes much itching causes to bleed, especially on neck. One more point to notice is the looks of the all affected areas is different, only common thing is the very small pimples in the beginning.

The psychological behavior of my wife is as following:
- Feels tired easily
- Willing to sleep but can’t always, because of 1.5 yrs old son.
- Gets scary dreams often during sleep in the night…. Sometimes day time also
- Very sensitive in mood. Get affected or sad mood very easily.
- Gets irritated and angry easily.
- Less interest in physical involvement.
- Craving for sweets
- Pure vegetarian and doesn't drink coffee or tea

Related History:
After birth of child almost 1.5 yrs ago, started taking contraceptive pill “Saheli” and after 8 months of its use, had non-stop bleeding between two periods. Also then this skin itching problem started with very small pimples on hand fingers above nails and right upper arm. So she had allopathic medicines for the periods along with iron and calcium supplements. Since then periods are normal but the skin problem is still going on.

Medication History:
1. Petroleum 200 twice weekly + Sulphur ointment for two weeks…. Result: No more eruptions but no decrease in the existing problem also.
2. Sulphur 30 + sulphur tube for 1 week. Result: Problem aggravated
3. R23 by Reckeweg Co. Germany + Dermatex ointment for 3 weeks…. Result: Problem stabilized, and no more eruptions
4. R23 + Heapr Sulphur 1000 single dose + Cal. Phos 6X for 1 week. Result: Problem aggravated


Local homeopathic doctors are confused between eczema and psoriasis. Please suggest some appropriate medication.
