Ear infection

I have been having a shooting pain in my right ear and a sever upper throat pain. I find it very hard to even swallow water.
Went to the doctor and she prescribed me levaquin, a very strong anti-biotic. this is the third time in 4 months she has put me on this anti-biotic. I'm very worried about this.

Also how do i get the pain to reduce. please help!!

merc sol 30 thrice daily for 5 days belladone 30 at the time of pain twice daily
