Lichen Planus on skin so far

Need help on remedies/dosage for skin Lichen Planus. I have already been diagnosed by a doctor but I do NOT want to use steroid cream to treat this disease. Something must be going on inside of my body and I want to treat that rather than this miserable RASH that is going to drive me out of my mind from the itching. HELP please.

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?

Rash with dark red itchy spots. Some in clusters, some linear and very itchy that comes and goes. First diagnosed August 2008 after the rash wasn't going away, which started late May 2008 after my husband became ill.

Some of the rash are alone, some in clusters. Small, raised, pink to reddish in color, and congregate if I cut/scratch myself, or if I burn myself on oven while baking.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

I haven't been diagnosed because I have no insurance, but I'm pretty sure that I have rheumatoid arthritis in joints of fingers, knees, hands. Occasionally have trigger finger on right thumb and right ring finger. I also believe that I suffer from osteo from medication that I take (90mg phenobarbitol) to prevent seizures. My neurologist has informed me that the phenobarb is now know to cause osteo. I have been taking that medication for 13 years. I am allergic to all other anti-seizure meds tried on me.

I also was diagnosed about 15 years ago with colitis and also a small ulcer at lower stomach. I take no meds for that.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Depressed about this ugly itchy rash, but try to look on the bright side most of the time.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

Tired and depressed.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

December of 2007, while I was exercising, I felt a sore on my toe. It looked like a blister but after a few weeks, I noticed more and more appearing on the bottoms of my feet, mainly under my toes. After 3 months, I went to the dermatologist and was diagnosed with dyshidrotic excema of the feet. That went away in May 2008, my husband became ill and demanding. I noticed a small itchy bump on my upper arm at the end of May. I thought that maybe I had been bitten by a mosquito. By August, there were red itchy bumps, rash, on both of my arms. The bumps would not go away. I went to the dermatologist at end of Aug. 2008 and I was diagnosed with lichen planus, given steroid cream and that was that. It seemed to go away mostly by December 2008, but has now returned as of March this year. Nothing happened in March other than my usual stress and worry problems.

I noticed a few on my upper arms. Taking a bath, I shaved my legs and the next day, they were on my shins, a few clusters/spots above the knees/lower thighs. They seem symetrical. When I get it on one side, it appears on the opposite side same place. They are on the tops of my hands, my arms upper and lower on tops and sides. Also, they are on my upper chest and part of arm where it meets the armpit on both sides. I think I have a few on my chin after using Neutragena product. They are itchy also.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

The rash seems to itch more at night. I don't sleep well.

I try not to scratch as it makes a bloody mess and at the end of it all, makes it worse it seems.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

Scratching aggravates it, and any perfumed products.

Dead sea salts bath helps with itching and sulphur soap also helps.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

No to all of the above.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

I prefer warm weather, dry. Sun makes me feel better inside, but exacerbates the rash, making me feel sad because I have to where long sleeves etc. and that makes you sweat when it's hot out.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

I am kind, giving, agreeable, nervous, suspicious at times, normally quiet, and taken advantage of a lot.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

I like thunderstorms, but happy to see them go and the sun appear.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?

I like to be left alone.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

Yes, and I suffer from headaches every day.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?

I talk to myself, yes. Isn't that normal? :)

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

I keep to myself. My family members are deceased. My siblings all passed away. Husband is lazy and I have to do everything myself. I don't even bother asking for help.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

I rarely sleep. I worry about everything. People I don't know, situations, it doesn't matter. I'm a worry wart.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

I don't crave for anything. I despise lima beans and most seafood.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Less/Normal. Sometimes I forget to eat.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

Beans aggravate me. They bloat me and give me a stomach ache at times. But I love them.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Normal

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Solid and pretty everyday normal. Sometimes food will run right through me because of the colitis. I have a lot of stomach aches.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

When I do sleep, I like to sleep on my left side.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?

Not interested.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?

I am a very aware person. I notice things that other people wouldn't.

I'm certainly different looking with these spots all over. They are ugly.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

Steroid cream, but I used very little because it can cause more harm than good and make MORE problems for me that I don't need or want.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?

No family, but my mother had auto-immune diseases also. She was very much like me, but she was nicer than I am.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance

5'3', 115 lbs. attractive older woman. Makes me feel ugly with the spots though.

Forgot to mention in item #10.

I get my feelings hurt easily but do not show it. When I am alone, I will dwell on why that person said or did what they did to me, but I will never outright say anything. I hold it all inside.

Also, I almonds make me almost immediately very sick, doubled-over in pain and I sometimes feel as though I am going to pass out.

I also forgot to mention that just before the lichen planus started, I had gotten over a second bout of the dyshidrotic excema on my feet. That bout lasted from end of December until end of mid-March 2009. I had started some supplements and I believe that greatly reduced the length of that bout, but I was taking Borage oil, and the Borage oil, I believe, caused me to suffer one of the worst seizures that I have ever had. I believe it may have caused my medication to not work properly. Up until that time, I hadn't had a seizure for 4 or 5 years. I believe that stress also had a hand in that. Maybe, maybe not.

Thank you for reading.

day 1
please take three doses of sulphur 30 at a gap of 4 hours on a single day. no more doses.

day 2 to day 7
1. please take 30 ml aloe vera juice with hot water in the morning on empty stomach and at bed time. aloe vera juice is a herbal supplement that should work nicely for all your problems.
2. please take bach flower remedy agrimony thrice a day. Flower remedies are generally availale at homeo stores.

please follow homeopathic restrictions during the treatment period like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Homeopathic remedies work in a different way than allopathic medicines. Allopathic medicines interfere directly with the bio-chemistry of body. Homoepathic medicines arouse the vital force. This vital force is capabale of effecting any changes at physical and mental levels.
Homeo remedies are selected on the basis of totality of symptoms. In your case sulphur has been selected on the basis of totality of symptoms.
You should observe the changes taking place in your body and mind in the next 7 days and report your observations here. This you can do by submitting your answers to the questions as you have done earlier. Depending on your response we will take future decisions like moving to higher potency, going for another remedy etc.

Thank you so much! I will have to order these items as there are no places even near me where I could find them.

I am looking at the ABC remedy store online and they are showing Sulphur in many formats (pills, granules, liquid dilution and tincture) and also showing 30X and 30C. Which one do I order?

When I receive and use the items, I will report back. I will start looking or ordering now.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
