OCD and IBS related?

I posted earlier about my son with continual Bowel and Digestive problems. I would really appreciate feedback and advice from anyone who knows how anxiety (OCD) and digestion play off each other and how I could prevent him from spiralling into such traumatic episodes. He is such a good person and it has taken so much energy just feeling terrible for so much of his life. My heart aches for him

I think a well-selected constitutional medicine will take care of the tendency [OCD] while an individualistic Bach Flower Remedy combination will relieve his emotive disturbance that precipitates and maintains the ailment.
