dr. sharma need help with lpr

Name: Mary Murphy Rodriguez
Age: 51
Sex: Female
Country: United States
Climate: Hot and Dry

I started having burning in my throat with a globus sensation about 9 months ago after taking Boniva for four months. I do not have acid indigestion or burning in the espophagus - Nor do I have burning at night when lying down. My sympoms start about 2 hours after I wake up and get progressively worse throughout the day - every day. I have a lot of mucus in my throat in the mornings. I have quit smoking, quit drinking coffee and soft drinks, and quit eating chocolate. I do have a glass of wine with dinner. I also sleep with the head of my bed elevated about 5 inches. The gastro doctor diagnosed me with LPR and prescribed Nexium in the morning and Zantac in the afternoon, which I have been taking for about 3 months. but this combination provides very little releif. I am also having problems with constipation. I do take fiber supplements and try to eat foods with high fiber. I find that the symptoms get worse when I feel pressured for time at work - so there is probably an anxiety tie in. A friend has recommended Kombucha Tea to help with the balance of organisms in my digestive system, but I am concered about combining with current medications. Please let me know what you advise.
