Eczema or Neuro Dermititis
Hello,My Husband age 37yrs.has been suffering from eczema for the last 4 yrs.
It started as painful cuts on the lips and angle of mouth,was unable to open his mouth wide enough.Was treated by an Homeopath from India.
After a couple of months,developed a dry greyish,itchy, slighty raised about 1cm.patch on his left sideburn.
Then a similar but smaller patch on the medial side of right upper eyelid.
THen inspite of being under only Homeopathic treatment all the time it has kept on spreading.
Now it extends from under the middle of his chin to the middle of the back of neck and is about 1 inch wide on the left side.Itchy almost all the time,even while asleep.Looks dry,raised,scaly,no discharge.GReyish purple in colour.Scratching does'nt make it better.Uses plain moisturizers and nothing else for the face.
For the last couple of months has one patch on his left shoulder,similar in appearance and nature.Sometimes all the affected areas look raw,fleshy but no discharge.
He is a very simple, calm ,easy going ,down to earth person.Mostly chilly.Likes eggs,potatoes,curd,etc.
No peculiar dislike.
Hardly ever gets angry,never treats anyone badly,very analytical,but forgetful,sleeps well,no dreams he says,if any, does'nt remember.Caring,helpful and affectionate.
Sour smelling perspiration.Is 5'7"tall,weighs about 145 lbs.
Never used any allopatic medicine or ointments.
Went to a dermatologist just for second opinion,who said its not eczema its Neuro Dermititis.Its because of anxiety,and always trying to meet project dead lines,because of the nature of his job.He is an IT Professional.
Prescribed some anti histamine for itching.Some steroid based cream to apply.Never used it.
Have never changed the remedies or the Homeopaths frequently,but nothing seems to help.
Homeopaths in India don't give out the name of the remedy,except some.
So far,they have tried,Calc.Carb,Sulph.,Psor,Thuja,Graphites ,Petroleum,Nat.Mur,Nux Vom,Rhus,Ars Alb,Etc,etc,
The current one being Graphites again for the last month.No change so far.
PLease help find a permanent cure.

When one fails to grasp the essential nature of the person it is difficult to select the correct remedy. I have failed in that fashion.
In this case there are two remedies that are indicated , which have not been used . They are Hepar Sul [ indicated by sour smellin sweat] and Medorrhinum [ indicated by forgetfulness ] and Aurum Tryph
The dermatologist may have a point that the root source is stress - but do not use orthodox applications to the skin. Try to relax and forget work , hobby or something in the open air.
