amoebas

Does anybody know of a homeopathic treatment for entamoeba coli, histolytica? I am in Mexico and tested positive for amoebas, although they are not bad yet as I haven't noticed any symptoms. I took Flagyl, a common treatment for amoebas, and got too sick to continue treatment. I am trying to find a homeopathic remedy before I have to switch to another medicine (two now that they may be resisant). Thanks for your help!

Antiparasitic agents
The mechanism of action of many antiparasitic drugs is only partially known. Among the antimalarials, chloroquine interferes with the digestion of haemoglobin taken up by Plasmodia. Quinine is thought to act in a similar manner. Metronidazole is active against a number of protozoa such as Entamoeba histolytica as well as anaerobic bacteria. It acts as an electron sink, by reducing of its 5-nitro group and activated by nitroreductase within the target pathogen, thus interrupting DNA synthesis.
Among the antihelminthic drugs, piperazine and paraziquantel act by selectively inducing muscle paralysis in the target helminth. Others, such as thiabendazole, inhibit parasitic ATP synthesis and energy production.

Generally this only occurs in people with a slightly depressed immune system . If there is a tubercular background in the family that may be the root of the problem. On a practical note it would help to use lactobacillus or live yoghurt and avoid all red meat and alcohol.
Basic tonics such as fer Phos 3x or Sil 3x may be of help.
