Help with Scalp Problem
Hi,My husband is 40 yrs old and he is suffering from some scalp infection from the last 6 yrs.His hair falls even if he moves his fingers through his hair.scalp is sore and painfull and ithches badly.The scalp is full of Dandruff.He tried all available Anti Dandruff shampoos but nothing works.His scalp has small bumps with no hair in that place.I do not know whether it is just plain Dandruff or Eczema or Psoriasis.But he has tremendous itching and Hairfall.Pls help.

The symptoms are very broad and difficult to get to a diagnosis, it will be easy if you could describe the scalp problem, is the hair fall in patches, is the bump has any discolouration, is the itching followed by burning, if yes then does it have any difference with cold or hot water. is there any discharge form the skin lesion?
And need some details of your ethinic origin and the place you live, and also the kind of occupation.

The hairfall is not in patches but throught.The hair is extremely thin and just comes out from the scalp with the slightest touch.Origin is India.The small bumps are slightly whitish is colour compared to the rest of the scalp and the hair at that place is missing.The scalp burns after itching.Occupation is Computer Engineer.The itching is aggravated after Cold water bath.

Here you go,
The prescription is,
Sulphur 1M one dose(4-6 drops liquid) early morning empty stomach on the first day.
Graphites 30C (4-6 drops liquid) both in the morning and evening for 15 days.
This is the initial stage of treatment and you may find some changes in the white bumps in the scalp at first, slowly there might be changes in the itching, once these functional symptoms reduce then there might be hair growth and stronger hair as well, but it is in the long term, try these medicines for 15 days and let me know alright.
you can also buy Ars alb 200 and keep it with you for the next stage of treatment. but not to be taken now.

Hi,
My Husband has finished 15 days of Graphites 30C.The white bumps have disappeared ( at least are not very prominant as before ). But there is tremendous itching of the scalp and lots of white flakes fall when he scratches.Hairfall is still as it was ( lots of it ). pls advice.

so your husband is showing the expected changes as according to my previous post you would find reduction in the white bumps, then only the itching and hair fall will be reduced so i suggest you take those medicines for the next 15 days.

Hi,
There is an update, the White bumps have started to reappear and the itching and hairfall are same as before ( too much ).I think this remedy worked in the begining as some changes were observed, but now it is back to the same.Also his left heel pains a lot when he wakes up in the morning, so much so that he cannot put his weight on it and walk properly.
Pls advice.

Good the symptoms has come back, don worry you will have to take ars alb 200C every day 4-6 drops in the morning and night. then for his heel pain take calc 30C liquid 4-6 drops morning and night for 15 days.

Its been 15 days. There is considerable releif in the heel pain, the scalp problem has had no change. The Small bumps on the scalp have resurfaced and hairfall is as usuall.The ars alb 200c has had no effect.Pls help & advice.

Alright good about the heel pain relief, now take one more dose of sulphur 1M one more dose tomorrow morning, and then follow it with calc carb 200 one more dose the next day.
Report after a weeks time. hair fall problems will take time to get cured so please wait patiently.

Dear doctor,
I have thinning hair and my scalp has a occassional offensive smell. It smells like sulphur or rotten eggs or spices sometimes. I also have greasy scalp with caking. Please help before I go bald.
