Remedy for a very naughty puppy

Hi,

We have a puppy aged 12 weeks. He has a lively character but in the evening he becomes very difficult to handle. This usually happens from about 6pm onwards and continues until after 9pm. He barks and bites and generally seems to be looking for trouble in the evenings. I wonder if he is overtired, yet he seems to be quite energetic. I think he doesn't know when to stop. Is there a rememdy that would help him to calm down during the evenings?
