Chronic, dry, gritty eyes

I have always had dry eyes and 8 years ago had laser surgery since wearing contacts become impossible. Occuloheel gives me great trmporary relief but I would like longer term.

I have had my tear ducts closed to prevent the little bit of tears I have from escaping. The tears I have tend to be a little thicker and have some floaters. Looking into white skyline I can see fluid movement. I have had my eyes checked by optomotrist and given clean bill there.

Suggestions?

Tried that, but the problem goes much deeper than that. I wouldn't have had my tear ducts cauterized if it was that simple.
