Food allergies

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has experience with food allergies? My baby and I have a very large list of food allergens, and although they are not life threatening, they are making our lives difficult. To make a long story short, we are using homeopathy, probiotics, and L-Glutamine supplementation to aide in recovery. (as well as avoiding foods allergic to) I have been on a search to find someone who can help me treat underlying cause of problem so that once we are better we dont ever have problems again. I keep running in circles with people telling me health problems are related to allergies, and allergies are related to health problems.

I personally have history of having little to no good flora in my system, which is where I think the allergy problem started with me and son. He didnt get any good flora when born if I had none, and He isnt getting any in breastmilk either if I am still deficiant. I notice great improvement as long as we take probiotic and L-Glutamine supplements everyday as far as sleep patterns and moods, but not much difference in improvement of allergies.

Are these allopathic, or health store supplements?

I can't help unless I have more understanding.

I do have "some" experience with food allergies.

probiotics are the good bacteria found in yogurt that are essential to intestinal health. It is something that has been reccomended to me by both an allopathic practitioner and naturopathic. It is a supplement that is found over the counter at any store with pharmacutical section. I prefer culturelle and metagenics brands, one I get at store, the other I have to get from practitioner. L-Glutamine is something reccomended by naturopathic for intestinal health...it is found at many stores as well, primarily natural foods, and fitness supplement stores.

The probiotics are used to replace the missing good flora in my system, the L-Glutamine is used to heal any possible leaky gut problems caused by missing flora.

I suppose my question would be...does anyone know what might cause deficiency of good flora other than poor diet and antibiotics? I have had very clean diet for a few years, and havent had antibiotics accept 1-2 times in past 15 years! I have supplemented much with probiotics only to discover they arent flourishing! I want to know what is causing the imbalance so that I can restore intestinal health! Even with imperfect diet, I would think that supplementation would encourage growth of probiotics, however even 6 times amount reccomended to supplement and my system has none! My system is also balances as far as not being too acid or alkaline...

Your system should balance to the alkaline with very little acid.

This is not in my realm of knowledge to advise you. I am sorry that I cannot help. I am quite sure that you have already tried anything I may suggest.

If this gets serious enough to spend about $200, check if there is a chiropractor in your area that does "Dark Field" blood work. This can tell you excellent and accurate information about yourself and far more than the MDieties.

Our son has severe Eczema and terrible food allergies.
We also give him Pro-biotic and Glutamine.
He is still under Homeopathy medication, we are seeing some improvements, hoping to see better results in the near future.
