Pilonodil Cyst.....Maybe???

I was hoping you could help me

I have been diagnosed with a pilonodil cyst and have a couple of questions in regards to whether some of the symptoms i have are normal with this or something i should have looked into further.
1. The area doesnt really hurt, not that i am complaining but i really have no pain unless i hit it and everyone on forums say it is sooo PAINFUL
2. I had the cyst 'drain' before by itself i think. Basically i just had a bunch of yellowish blood everywhere on my boxer shorts...Ther was no pain and i didnt have a white head or anything...i thought it would drain from a pimple looking area...where did it drain from?
3. it itches
4. The skin is a grayish purple all the time
5. After it drained (if that is what it did) by itself, the area went from a solid ball...to like a mushy soft form..and then about a week later it started filling up again... but more seperated and spread out, and i noticed a small hard bump in the mush about the size of a pea.
Thank you
Jason
