Need help please/inner ear spasm

I am a 48-year old female in good health usually.

About 11 days ago, I caught a really bad head cold from my husband and it's been hard to shake. I only used natural remedies and homeopathy (Dulcamara and Ferrum Phos) which helped tremdously.

About five days ago, I developed a terrible inner ear spasm in my right ear. It got so bad that I finally went to the doctor for a diagnosis. He told me that my TENSOR MUSCLE was in spasm and that the only thing he could offer me was steroid spray up the nose. Well, I wasn't about to do that.

I came home and rested and the next day it was all gone. Then five days later (today) it came back with a vengeance.

I tried taking Magnesium Citrate but that did not help. Have not done Mag. Phos.

Saw that possibly Phos. Acidium might match but wanted to ask the forum for any advice please.

I'm not in pain but the irregular beating and timpanic murmur in the right ear is really driving me crazy and making it almost impossible to function.

Please help if you can!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I notice that when I press on the inside of the ear right above the earlobe that the spasms stop. Perhaps that will aid in finding the proper remedy.

Thank you.
