Dr Sameer for my father

Hi Dr Sameer,
This is for my father. Its been very difficult for me to gather this information from him, as he doesn't want to admit to his shortcomings or symptoms. Old fashioned pride I guess. Here's what I have gathered:

Age: 70
He has a long history of smoking and drinking alcohol. Has had stomach ulcers in the past with some other intestinal irritations. He is generally pretty anxious and with anxiety there is nausea, trembling of hands, dry mouth, anger. Has a up and down mood with some depression symptoms. Has arthritis in knees and hands. The arthritis pain is an aching and throbbing pain. He has had frequent sinus infections with yellow discharge. Low memory. He can remember numbers, but names and stuff he reads he forgets easily. Insecurity about future. Worries about himself and others when he sees something on TV and thinks what if this happens to me or my son.

Likes nature of all kinds, doesn't like the wind. Likes to travel. generally during the day he likes it to be quiet. likes to read books and listen to music. he is artistic were he paints and writes. like to wear loose clothing, i asked about wearing turtlenecks and he strongly dislikes.

He had a rough childhood with his father mistreating him. He left home when he was 14 and his father never really supported him. So I'm sure he has a lot of baggage from that. He doesn't want anyone to do anything for him with him asking it to be done, but its almost as if he has an expectation for it to be done in his favor.

He is introverted, except when he drinks alcohol. He stores his feelings and then blows up and loses control of his temper. He is lazy and does procrastinate. I think he has some jealous tendencies as well.

I asked him if he has any fears and his reply was 'no'.

He said craves sweets for last year, but before he would never want to eat sweets. Craves to smoke especially after a meal. He says he used to crave to drink alcohol but now doesn't. He craves tea in the morning when he wakes up. Aversion to soups and fried foods. Aversion to the smell of seafood.

Likes warm weather more, but like all kinds of seasons of weather. dislikes the wind. He gets better when heat is applied to pain in his knees. cold air or wind gives him a sinus headache. It also gives him dry nose/itchy and watery eyes and then watery nose. His doctor tells him its allergies.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Also, he has an enlarged prostate where he's gotten a couple of biopsies but no cancer, thank goodness. At night when he goes to bed the bottom of his feet get hot and he gets needles effect there.

Please wait for couple of days.

' generally during the day he likes it to be quiet.'

Do you mean, he becomes talkative during the evening ?

sameervermani last decade
No, he only becomes talkative if he drinks alcohol.

bluematter last decade
Does he even tend to become emotional or sentimental when drunk ?

sameervermani last decade
Yes he does.

some additional physical symptoms I remembered:

He's had kidney stones a few times with excruciating pain passing them. His prostate is enlarged and he is taking Flomax. He is also taking Prevacid for Acid reflux.

Please give 3 doses of LACHESIS 30, and report back in 2 weeks.

sameervermani last decade
Thank you. He is not local so I'd have to order and send to him. I noticed that alcohol is an anti-dote, should I tell him to not drink?:(
Also is the instruction a wet dose like mine or just take pellets as is?
Thanks!

bluematter last decade
He can take pellets as is , 2 pellets directly dissolved on tongue is the dose.

Alcohol... well there is nothing much we can do about it if it is an addiction apart from maybe, keep it to the minimum. The addiction is a part of the disease we will aim to cure.

ok, thanks!

Hi Dr Sameer,

I spoke to my Father earlier today as I do everyday and he hasnt noticed any difference since taking lachesis 30c. I mistakenly didnt emphasize the 3 doses. so he took only one dose. should I ask him to take 3 doses now? Please advise//
He took the one dose on the 14th-

bluematter last decade
Ask him to take a single dose of Lachesis 200c.

sameervermani last decade
He took the 200c one dose this morning the 24th. Is 2 weeks the report back time?

bluematter last decade
Yes. That should be fine.

Dr Sameer,

My father is here with me now for a few days. It has been 2 weeks since he took lach 200c. Remarkably, he says he hasnt noticed anything different...I have queried him to see if he remembers but nothing to report. He is kind of stubborn and forgetful, so I dont know if there really is some changes there or not...what do you suggest?

some additional observations...
he's had a cough as long as i can remember. mostly due to smoking. he has stopped smoking since taking lachesis :) and has withdrawal symptoms.
He also has a big belly. overall he has a small frame but his belly is pretty obviously big for his frame.

Hi bluematter,

It is very difficult to say what happened from the Lachesis, unless you notice him for a few days carefully.

Otherwise, we will just be shooting in the dark.

Dr Sameer,
My father caught the same cold/flu I had and he's fine now. He's back home, but I was able to notice some difference him and he was able to find some distinct changes as well after some more conversations with him.
Here they are in particular order:

-lips get chapped at night at sleeping

-the bottom of his feet which got hot and needle feeling has improved a lot

-anger and jealousy have improved; he explained when watching bad news on tv he would get angry or a jealous feeling, but has subsided. I also noticed him to not angry as easily.

-tight clothing especially around neck has greatly improved; when wearing a tshirt he used to pull at the collar and i didnt see him doing that

-feels his memory has gotten worse

-less energy, a bit of fatigue feeling

Excellent, I think we are right on track.

Keep Lachesis 1M at hand, and update me in 2 weeks.

Some additional feedback talking to my father today...

-Increased sharp bone pain (arthritic pain) in ankles, knees, hips, and 2 thumbs

-he has noticed increased hair falling out from his head; he has a full head of hair

Dr Sameer,
I spoke to my dad at length on the phone today. It has been 2 weeks since he took lach. Here is his report:

dry inside nose, feels like there's dirt in there, has some nasal drip into throat and nasal congestion. overnight wakes up with some blood around nose, thinks its from the dryness inside the nose.

scalp is itchy, especially when warm. has small reddish pimples on his head and some on his body.

sporadically he gets the pain of as if a hot needle was sticked into him. It happens at different parts of his body.

at night before he wants to sleep he has dry coughs as if there's dirt in his throat. It lasts for 4-5 minutes. His voice also goes hoarse sporadically.

When he used to stand in place or walk for extended period his back would get very tired. Also his heels. This is been resolved for the most part.

Memory has gotten worse. ie, forgets what he wanted to say when talking. (there's a history of Alzheimer's with his uncle having it)
He has become more unmotivated, lazier, and/or procrastinates.
He naps a lot. watching tv or reading a book makes him sleepy.

He used to have anxiety when waking up in the morning, this has been greatly improved.

He used to think something bad will happen and this has been greatly improved or resolved.

His jealous tendencies have also decreased.

He says there is 2 types of mucous that he spits out. one is from his nose>throat that is greenish in color. The other is straight from his throat that is white/clear and foamy and very dry feel. **I think he has the flu/cold left over still, especially with the green mucous worries me that he may have an infection

Thanks!

Hi blue,

Please wait for 1 more week. We will think about administering the 1M at that time.

Hi Dr Sameer,

It has been 1 week since last report for my father. All the symptoms from last report have improved or gotten better.

He's got a furious itch on his lower back, which he describes as a crazy driving itch. It gets very red and itches more as he scratches.

His temper/anger has increased. He has a tendency to store his anger then blow up. He is somewhat childish in that he pouts and holds grudges.

Since yesterday he said the arthritic pain in his thumbs have increased again after some relief.

Since taking lachesis he gets these sharp pains throughout his legs (maybe sciatic) from shins to hips. It was there before lachesis but has increased greatly under lachesis.

He says he feels his knee and hip joints seem to slightly displace and fall back into place when walking. he feels/hears the crackling too.

Thanks!

Okay, we will wait for 1 more week then.
