Confused about cough remedy

I already obtained a grid of possible remedies for my case, but I feel confused about which remedy is really right.
For about a week my submandibular glands were swollen. For a few days I had been feeling a tickle in my throat.

Saturday night I was tired and I think I had a fever although I didn't check it. I also noticed that I suddenly was much more farsighted (I have been nearsighted for years.) This may have improved some; it's hard to tell. I don't know if this could be related, but I have a few pimples around the eye area. I also have had some dull aching in my left ear - inside but a little lower than the ear.

Sunday I rested, perhaps not as much as I should have. I am sure I had a fever Sunday night (because I had chills, was sweating, and felt cold even with extra blankets), and I think it was probably high - say 102 or more. Strangely, although my body has been hot, my hands and feet feel cold.

We bought a thermometer on Monday and my temperature was 100.3. I've taken my temperature numerous times, and the highest it has been was 101.7. I'm still coughing. From time to time I've had a pain near the bottom of my right ribs in the front. Sometimes my throat hurts sharply, but usually just for a few minutes after I coughed. My chest aches at times. I seem to cough more after I change position. Occasionally I have brought up a little yellow phlegm. Also, sometimes my head hurts (I guess also from coughing). Last night it felt like the top of the inside of my skull lining hurt. My neck sometimes feels stiff, too.

In the last day, once in a while when I breathe, I feel something in my bronchia or my right lung that's sort of like cellophane crinkling or like foamy soap bubbles popping.

I have been thirsty this whole time, and have craved salt a little. Drinking beverages, whether warm or cold is soothing and helps me not to cough for a little while.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You may take Hepar Sulph 200c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for 2 days and if there is no complete relief, you may take Bryonia 200c thrice a day for another 2 days.
