I am not a doctor. But just a couple ideas - Make sure he has a new or clean pillow. Pillows can have their own ecosystem of everything from dust mites, bacteria, etc. Is he sleeping on a feather pillow - if so is he allergic to feathers? Make sure bedding and all stuffed animals are cleaned weekly 160F to kill dust mites. Make sure there is no water leak or black mold in his room. If carpet in bedroom, consider daily vacuuming. Make sure vacuume is working. Food allergies might be another consideration. I would make sure he has an air purifier in his room. The rain and autumn time onset suggests maybe a mold allergy. This can be severe for persons with prior or ongoing exposure. Just some ideas to consider.
