Hi,

My daughter is 21 yesra od. For the past few years she has been sufferring from anxiety, depression, OCD and panic disorder.

Though she has been prescribed antidepressants, we have decided not to go that way.

Her academics is suffering due to her current problem. She says she cannot focus and before an exam or test she gets anxious and is not able to complete it on time.

We consulted a homeopath and he requested to administer the following:

Syphilinum 200C: 4 pills every 4th day morning.
2. Anacardium 30C. 4 pills daily two times 4 pills per dose morning and evening.
3. Kali Phos 6x -tablet:4 tablet per dose -after food day and at bed time.

We have not seen any improvement in her so far.

She has taken 5 doeses of Syphillinum 200c so far and other 2 - Anacardium 30C and Kali Phos 6x, she takes daily.

Her symptopms are as below:

She gets into frequent mood swings, and switches between being very quiet to very argumentative.
She spends too much time washing her hands and takes 3 hours for bath.

Though she likes to have friends, she does not have any close friends.
She is currently doing her second year Maths in University, and gets very stressed during exam time.

She has some aversions to the Asian channels on television, and gets very depressed when these channels are played on television.

The doctors here suggested an antidepressant medicine for 1 year but we are not comfortable to put her on these medicines.

Is there a homeopathic treatment for this problem.....?

Hi Dr. Akshay,

Thanks fr your inputs. I just replied your email.

I would like to confirm the following:

Should we stop the hmeopathic medicines and start with Bach flower remedies..?

Can these bach remedies be taken immediately after food ?

SHould any antidote be given before starting these remedies..?

Since there are 2 bottles D and F of mixed flower remedies, should we give F immediately after D or should there be a one hour gap between D and F ??

Thanks,
Rene

Hi DR. Akshay,

As recommended by you, we have started her on Bach remedies for the past 3 days.

She does not find any improvement so far.

My daughter has requested to forward her observations to you after taking the homeopathic medicines and now the Bach medicine.:

In her own words:

The duration of the shower or bath time has increased significantly.
Feel stressed after bath
Face difficulty while taking bath because of thinking about the stress faced after bath ( stress due to bath )
Having more complicated and irritating thoughts much more frequently and am finding it more difficult to deal with them
Intrusive thoughts occurring too frequently
Getting more impatient more often to maintain cleanliness according to my requirements

Is Crab Apple Bach remedy a more suitable one for her apart from the onces she is taking now, as she is bsessed with cleanliness ??

Ofcourse you mentioned we should report to you only after 7 days. But just thougt of sending an interim email now.

Kindly advise.

Hi Dr. Akshay,

I gave her only white chestnut for 3 days. She says she feels calm for 15 minutes after taking white chestnut, and then it is back to the same stress again. So the calmness lasts only for 15 minutes. Is the small % of alcohol content in the Bach remedies, the reson for this short term calmness ??

Also, she is taking more time to take bath ( earlier she would finish in 1 hour. Now she takes 2 - 3 hours ).
Is there any Bach remedy for OCD ??

Is crab apple the correct remedy ??
Also, do Bach remedies really help ?

Please advise.
