37 Year old wife with Nephrotic Syndrome

Dear Esteemed Doctors,

My wife is suffering from this serious problem. As I am posted in the USA, I don't have access to homeopaths. I have studied some homeopathy and posting detailed symptoms. Can you please advise a medicine that will help her:

Mind: Very systematic, highly intelligent and organized. Can't bear to see anything lying out of its location at home. First thought in her mind is to ensure that things are organized. She is gentle and refined and sympathetic to others. Always gets along very well with everyone. She is not a static personality and moves from one task to the other in an agile manner - multitasks very well. Fair in judgment but astute about her own interests. Neither introvert nor extrovert. Avoids drama - is generally serious - but indulges in activities that are fun. Her feelings are hurt quickly. Finds it hard to forgive. However, does NOT dwell on insults or criticisms. Active in nature. Never sits around idle - works hard even when she is sick. Overall balanced personality.

Hair: Prematurely white for many years and lack vitality.

Eye Sight: Week since childhood -7, -5

Infections: In mouth she gets mouth sores on upper/hard pallet and cheeks (this is where garlic seems to have helped her). She gets vaginal infections frequently (here also garlic helps).

Thirst: Less than normal.

Sleep: Light sleeper but sleeps well. Wakes up once to urinate during night.

Sunlight: Eyes are sensitive to light. Doctors told us to avoid sunlight after she got Nephrotic Syndrome first time in 1999.

Weather: Both hot and cold weather bother her.

In her childhood, her lips used to swell when she drank coffee. As a result she had to stop drinking coffee.

Since her childhood,
she has allergy to strong antibiotics - like Salpha.

She has been a person of simple tastes - simple food - although somewhat lacking in nourishment.

We got married in 95 and she came to US in that year. Our daughter was born in 97. Till then she had no health problems. During childbirth the doctor had removed a mole from near the vagina. That mole removal took a lot of time to recover. She was given strong antibiotics after the child birth and also pain killers. This is the time she started to lose her good health.

In 1999, she got the first episode of Nephrotic Syndrome (Minimal Change Disease), when we were in the US. Doctors suggested that we live in a cold place and we moved to Canada in 1999. She was fine till 2006. We moved to India in 2004 and she was not happy about the move. She started experiencing menopause at that time at age 35.

We moved back to the USA in May 2008.

In December 2008, she was again admitted to the hospital for acute renal failure. She recovered as she was given a Steroid called Prednisone. During this episode, when she was admitted to the hospital, she had spotting on her body that the doctors could not identify. Spots were on her chest and neck, ears.

The Doctors told us that it is an Auto Immune reaction that effects her kidneys first. The good news is that the biopsy of her kidney reveals that there is no damage and the tissue is very healthy after the treatment. Both Kidneys have been biopsied and there was no damage - the tissue was found to be healthy.

At one point we suspected that this condition has happened due to intake of MSG (MonoSodium Glutamate) in Chinese food, as she had relapsed after eating Chinese food. This had happened a couple of times and since then we stopped eating Chinese. But there could be other reasons that we are unaware of.

The final diagnosis for her was that her immune system is very weak. That is suspected to be the underlying cause of her problem.

One of her constant complaints is that she does not get any Phlegm or cold. She hardly ever sneezes - and feels relieved if she sneezes. This has been happening since three years - before that she used to get cold in a normal manner. She expresses her feeling that if her Phlegm comes out, she would get cured (just her feeling).

Since her acute renal failure episode in December 2008, she has has three relapses. Her eyes start to swell up and then in a few days her feet start to swell up - as the Kidney starts to fail. The only solution is to starts a doze of prednisone as there is no alternative. The doctors here don't understand what the problem is. It is not Lupus as that was eliminated.

As I mentioned, she gets sores in her mouth. Now she has switched to a very mild toothpaste and moth sores have healed quite a bit. She has also stopped taking strong spices (chili etc.).

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you run her symptoms on the ABC Remedyfinder and post the link for the result here.
