It is very difficult to suggest as with each remedy that you take your problems seem to rise. It is really troublesome for you. By the way nux, ars and carb veg can antidote lachesis. You may go through all the three and may take the one that matches most closely your symptoms. It may also happen that the aggravation may pass away on it's own within few days.

But if you take nux would I not then have another set of aggravations from that.

The case management part in homeopathy is very tricky. If the patient suffers from aggravation of symptoms that can be
1. disease aggravation
2. remedy proving
3. part of recovery
If it is disease aggravation that is really serious. If it is remedy proving that should go away sooner or later. The antidote works best in such conditions. If it is part of recovery, it should not be disturbed by taking antidote for the remedy. So the patience and understanding demonstrated by the patient is very important in homeopathic treatment. i know you have that patience and understanding.

Kadwa thank you for that. I think it's been an aggravation that is part of the recovery process so hopefully now the good will come. The only thing that concerns me is that my mood is still very down and I was hoping that Lachesis would help that. A lot of my other problems like the bloating has greatly improved so I'm very happy about that.

The remedy can be repeated if the improvement process started by the remedy gets a setback. It may also be repeated if the improvement stops. It is better not to repeat Lachesis 200 within 15 days. So it may be repeated after 15 days if the recovery process has stopped.

I think I could still be aggravating a bit at the moment with the remedy although it is better than at the beginning of the week but I've felt so washed out and tired since I took it - perhaps Ive had an aggravation but maybe I've also had a bug at the same time?
Can lachesis give you blinding headaches as I've had a bad bad headache since I took it Sunday and also my eyes feel like someone has poked their fingers in them - is this a lachesis aggravation?

Yes. These are lachesis symptoms. This kind of aggravation is possible if someone takes lachesis in low potency like 6c or 3c. Lachesis works best in high potencies like 30c, 200c, 1M and in infrequent doses. If someone is having such symptoms due to taking lachesis in low potency, this can be taken care of by taking lachesis in high potency.

Also it says alcohol antidotes lachesis. So if I was to have an alcoholic drink - say a glass of wine - would that antidote lachesis - or does 'alcohol' mean something else.

See you have to see how the remedy has worked for totality of your symptoms. Again it is to be seen whether there was no headache and eyeache before taking the remedy and after how much time after taking the remedy did it start. Nux or Ars won't work here as they don't have such head and eye symptoms. You should wait for a day and then you may opt for another dose of lachesis or a glass of wine!!

The headache started immediately after I took it as did the eyes - don't feel that lachesis has really done anything for me - I'm bloated again today - noticed it creeping on the last two days.
But the headache, eye pain and tiredness is becoming a bore now so feel I need to do something.
If Nux or Ars aren't the answer - which remedy would be the best to take to help me over this - apart from the glass of wine which does sound good!
