19 month old ear infection

My son had an ear infection 2 weeks ago. Pediatrician prescribed antibiotics (first time in his life). Now we went for a check up, and she said the ear infection is still there and that he didn't respond to the antibiotics / he still has a runny nose and a cought, his lungs are clear. So she prescribed him Amox (amoxicilin?)... there's a puss coming out of his ear, so I assume it popped on its own? He seems fine otherwise, should I even start him on the other antibiotics? or is there any other remedy? Please help, I would much rather give him a natural remedy than antibiotics. Thank you so much.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please try this medicine for 2 days and write back:

- Kali Phos 30c - 1 dose in the morning

- Silicea 30c - 1 dose in the evening

- Calc Sulph 30c - 1 dose in the night

Repeat the same course for the 2nd day. If improvement is seen, this can be repeated less frequently (please write back)

You may want to put some Homeopathic external drops in the ear (with Verbascum/Mullen), as instructed in the bottle.

This may sound to be too many doses for the 2 year old. However this is far safer and better than the anti-biotics. Please try and write back.

I tried several medicines for ear infection (esp for kids going to schools in US) and found most of indicated remedies failing. The above couse has higher hope than any in my practice.

If this does not help in 2 days, you may have to resort to antibiotics.

However if you write back, I can give a 1 month course (Kali Mur) that will improve digestion, health and prevent this recurrence.

Thank you so much!!! I'll go to the store tomorrow and get it all for him. I haven't started him on the antibiotics yet and hopefully I won't have to. He seems fine.
I would definitely appreciate if you could advise me on how to prevent this in the future.
I just started giving him probiotics.

Thank you so much for your time and help. I will post tomorrow when I get the medicine. Thanks again.

Is your son clingy?

Is he warm blooded (like it cool) and kicks of the sheets?

Is not thirsty?

Prefers open air and gentle breeze?

Are his problems worse in warm room?

If your answers are yes, then just one dose of Pulsatilla 200c.

In prescribing, totality of symptoms are important which includes mentals, physicals, thermals and other modalities. It helps the forum if you can present more symptoms.

He is not clingier than usual, definitely not warm blooded.
anyway, thank you for your response.
I started the treatment today, he seems okay, still has a runny nose, clear color. No fever, no pulling on his ear.

BTW, what is the difference between Pulsatila 30c and 200c? is it just stronger dose?

is there anything I can do in the future to prevent him from recurring middle ear infections? Does giving probiotics help?

As long as there is no fever, continue with the 3 medicines for a few days/

As a preventive, give
- Kali Mur 6x, 3 Pills, once a day in the night
- Calc Phos 6x, 3 Pills, once a day in the morning

Both the above medicines are called as Cell Salts and are very nutritious for the kids.

Once a week, give one dose of kali biCHROMIUM 6c, 1 pill (say only on Sunday)

Give for a month and write back.

Milk is one of the primary cause of ear infection. Please stop during this time.

Probiotics is good and I have myself seen the benefit of it directly.
