gas problem in lower abdomen (corrected version)

I am 40 yrs old male. I suffered acute gall bladder infection, urine infection and septicemia 6 yrs back. I was hospitalized and doctor warned me that if I don't get bladder operated within 4 weeks I shall die. But somehow I was convinced that I do not need any surgery. I shifted hospital and went treatment under another doctor who told surgery is not required immediately. During the treament 'gramogyl' allopathic medicine was administered continuously. I got rid of all the infection but gall bladder showed a lot of sludge which I flushed using 150ml of olive oil and 150 ml of lemon juice. This did for getting rid of gas problem also.

Now the gall bladder is perfectly normal but since the allopathic treatment (not due to flushing) my stomach has become totally upset.

On the left side at the naval level continuous formation of gas takes place for the past six years. I have observed that when I take chapati, pulses, rajma it is more intense. However, taking curd and rice does not produce any gas at all. In the afternoon the gas formation becomes intense and thereafter continues throughout the day and night and comes out on lying down making a loud noise. The gas does not smell foul. But it gives a lot of discomfort because most of the time until unless I lie down it is not expelled which is difficult if I am outside home.

I am sure this is neither due to gall bladder or liver problem. They are in perfect condition.

I have consulted homeopathic physicians but nothing improved. Earlier I have tried Lycopodium 30, Nux 200, Merc Sol 200, Aloes Soc 30, Argent Nit 30. All they have have not given relief. From time to time I keep taking sulpher 30, acid nit 30, ferroum phos 30 to prevent any pilesproblem which occurred long back.

Allopathic treatment has really not shown any improvment in this condition. Moreover, over the last 3 yrs I am getting cramps in lower parts of legs below knees. Some times cramps are very intense and produces a lot of anxiety.

My weight is 68 Kgs, height 5'9', brownish colour. I am vegetarian completely and do not take tea or coffee.

I am looking forward if some body can help me by suggesting the right medicine. Please suggest if your are confident.

Thanks.

Thanks for the attention. I am writing below my reply to the queries.

1. Describe your main sufferings and other related or unrelated sufferings with exact sensations, locations, modalities and probable causes.

Reply: Gas formation and accumulation on the left side at navel level which keeps accumulating and moves to the right side completely bloating the lower abdomen. No smell at all. If I lie down it comes out with a very loud noise for a very long time. This started after the medicine 'gramogyl' was administered for nearly 15 days 6 years back. Though the infections were over but it left my digestive system completely upset. Doctors told it is IBS and gave Norflox TZ and asked me to stay on curd and rice for 15 days completely and gave bacterial spores in capsule form. It cured me but after 3 months again it appeared and then once I took antibiotic for cough problem it again went for 3-4 months but there after again appeared and then nothing works. If I take gramogyl again it will be okay till I continue with the medicine but thereafter it comes immediately.

It make me feel very uncomfortable because it accumulates. I can feel somestimes bubble forming. There is uneasiness and heaviness on the left side at navel level. Ultra sound does not show any problem with lever, gall bladder. Medical check up has shown everything is fine.

stool is mostly very soft. No acidity problem. Earlier it was there but with pranayaam it has vanished.

Leg cramps below knee level. It was for the last 13 yrs but became severe for the last 3 yrs. In winter it used to go away but this time there is no relief.

I do not wear any warm clothing during winter. Just a teashirt and panth either in Delhi or any where in India.

2. Write an essay on yourself, your personality, nature, likes and dislikes, thermal preferences, cravings and aversions, fears and dreams, your ambition in life, your inner-most desires, your place in society etc.

Reply: Feel better in cold or in AC. Of very religious nature. Straight forward, No fear. Dreams mostly do not remember. Ambition in life is to break the knot of the mystery of universe. Want to be an humble person at the lotus feet of the almighty, by profession aerospace professor.

3. What is your profession? Do you enjoy yourself at work? Is it a profession you have willingly chosen? If not, what would it be as per your choice?

Reply: Yes! I am aerospace professor, enjoy my work but. A lot of work stress due to large amount of work has been there but I have now relieved all of them.

4. What would you like to change in your personality, if at all?

Reply: Rarely I get angry that even I want to dispel.

5. Please pick out the adjectives which best describe your personality;

Nervous, Anxious, Shy, Worrying, Paranoid, Proud, Asocial, Guilty, Depressed, Hypochondriac, Untidy, Weepy, Emotional, Impractical, Confused, Suspicious, Jealous, Timid, Aggressive, Headstrong, Forgetful, Follower, Insecure, Immature, Impulsive, Rigid, Restless, Feminine.

Reply: Forgetful.

6. Did you have any bereavement in life? If yes, how has it affected you?

Reply: No.

7. Do you often suffer from depression? If so, do you prefer company or solitude during those times?

Reply: Not at all. But by nature I am an introvert.

8. Do you get angry often? If not, do you feel the anger inside at least? What are the things / issues on which you get angry the most?

Reply: Rarely. If somebody becomes very irrational only then. If some body forces me to do what I never want.

9. Do you have any issues regarding your parenting by your guardians? How were their nature / behavior towards you during your childhood and adolescents? How has it affected your personality and thoughts?

Reply: No. I respect my parents like almighty.

10. Would you say your sex drive is high, low or average? Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires?

Reply: This question is perhaps out of place for me because it persists if we are in bodily concept of life otherwise there are many higher things in life than this.

your answers to the questions do not point towards lycopodium although earlier i thought you may be one.

except the thermal profile, you seem to be a phosphorus person as far as your personality is concerned.

low potencies of carbo veg would help you initially and then if it doesnt cure you fully, you may have to take some high potencies of phosphorus.

so, start with CARBO VEG 30C three times a day for some 3 to 4 days and then stop to see the changes for the next one week.

incase you see some good changes happening after about 2 to 3 days, please taper down the dosage to one a day for some days more till significant relief is there.

Thanks for your reply and prescription. Earlier I have taken Carbo Veg 30c but this too did not improve. Besides I have taken phosphorous 30c too.

I took lycopodium 30c for the last two days but no result.

I shall try carbo veg 30c for the next few days. In case I have to take phosphorous which potency I should take.

regards,

Manoranjan
