succussion clarification

If instructed to give 2 succussions the first dose, then to give 4 the next -- am I only adding 2 more succussions because the remedy solution bottle has memory of the first 2?

Or do I actually succuss 4 additional times?

It is better to succuss 4 additional times. But if the remedy is the right one it will work with 2 or 4 succussions. Otherwise it will fail inspite of 2 or 4 succussions.
