Chalazion that won't go away.

I have had a chalazion on my upper eyelid for about 19 months now. It has turned into a hard bump. I have gotten one on my lower eyelid as well, about 6 months ago. I have been to the doctor twice. They gave me antibiotics and the bottom one is clearing up a little. For the top one they say that the only way to fix it is surgery. One doctor told me that I should only have it surgically removed if it is really bothering me. It does not hurt at all or affect my vision. I only notice it when someone else points it out or I pass a mirror. I've heard that they go away on their own eventually but neither of my doctors said this. Has anyone else heard this? How long is it supposed to take? Is there any way to help the process along? Any suggestions anyone has would be helpful!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take 4 pellets of Silicea 6x thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for 15 days and see whether it helps.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.
