Dental Extraction - small piece still remaining

Yesterday, had a dental extraction (2nd molar, which has got caries and decayed).

After pulling the teeth small piece is still left there and doctor tried many times but did not succed to pull that piece out.

Dr advised to leave it as it is and he said it may come out on its own or come back if i get any problems.... not sure whether he has given correct treatment or not.

Is there any homeo remedy which help the body to slowly expel the remaining piece of that tooth?

It will help the problems with the left-over teeth if you could take 2 pellets each of the following tissue salts thrice a day for 10 days.
silicea 6x
calc fluorica 6x
ferrum phos 6x
