Smirking uncontrollable around friends

I have a bad habit of sort of smirking around friends and family uncontrollably even when the subject matter is serious (my girlfriend has been in tears and I cannot control my smirks). It is very distracting and consumes my thoughts to where I am not even able to think about what the other person is saying.

It is also very distracting for the person I'm talking to as I have had numerous people stop in the middle of what they are saying and ask me, 'why are you smiling?' and I must just reply, 'I always smile.' As if it is a good thing when in fact it makes me feel very uncomfortable.

It does not happen when I am talking to people I do not know or those that I do not know very well.

If anyone has any suggestions on something I can take to be in better control of my facial experssions, please let me know. I saw another post where an individual had a similar problem but the smiling episodes would occur when they were around strangers in public situations and someone suggested lachesis 1m. Would that be a good remedy for my case?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Hyoscyamus 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only one day) and see whether it helps in the next 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.
