prostatitis

Hi there,
Im a 45 yo male suffering from prostatitis for about two years already. Urine flow is weak and frequent which varies from day to day. On and off I feel burning and discomfort in the prostate/genital area. Urologist diagnosed prostatitis, which it was treated with antibiotics which produce certain improvement for a few months. However, the problem is been back and I'm looking for solutions other than antibiotics. I read from Mr Joe Livera about Arnica. Does it work? Any recommendation or advice? Any help is appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Since you have already read my records of how Arnica 30c has helped in increasing Urine flow, I shall not repeat my advice.

Prostatitis is rather rare at age 45 and I would like to know if your Urologist gave you any reason for it at your age. I presume that you were prescribed an antibiotic and would like to know its ID and for how long you took it and also for how long you were free of your symptoms.

Please note that Arnica can only help after the organism responsible for your Prostatitis has been eliminated as it cannot be used as a bactericide. It will help with your flow of urine if used on a daily basis and will hopefully prevent future infection.

The remedy that you will use is Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. Please follow the instructions below:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack aka Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle or 5 Pellets and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

Dear Guevon,
Do you feel any wetness in skin or cloth of genital area?

Dear Joe,
Can you please clarify about wet dose? Generally we buy homeopathic medicine in one drum, half ounce or one ounce bottle. They transfuse the liquid from bigger bottle into smaller bottle and then put the label of remedy with potency. Is it wet dose?

If you live in Pakistan or India you will not have any difficulty in getting any remedy in Ethanol.

You state:
'Generally we buy homeopathic medicine in one drum, half ounce or one ounce bottle. They transfuse the liquid from bigger bottle into smaller bottle and then put the label of remedy with potency. Is it wet dose?'

You have described what is known as the Liquid Dilution in the US and as long as the liquid is Ethanol. This must not be confused with the Wet dose which I have described which I have described precisely in my last post and I hope that you will also follow my instructions to the letter.

Dear Mr Livera:
The urologist performed all possible tests to be able to make a diagnostic. Everything looked normal although the symptoms always remained 'on and off'. After the antibiotics, he tried FLOMAX and other medicine (I forgot name) and symptoms remained. He then presumed that could be 'Interstitial cystitis' and he prescribed me Elmiron to take it for a long time before seeing any result. After two months taking it I noticed that symptoms were still present, so at this time we believe that the most correct diagnostic is 'prostatitis'. I will try Arnica and will comment about the outcome. Thanks, guevon

Dear Joe,
Is it necessary to take Arnica as a wet dose? If I take Arnica-30 directly on tongue, will it helpful? What is the treatment of Prostate Pain, which has occured by the aggravation of Selenium?

To Guevon

My apologies for not responding to your post of February 8 which I do not remember reading.

Prostatitis is a rather difficult infection to eradicate completely as the supply of blood to the gland is restricted and decreases with age.

You state that you were prescribed antibiotics and Flomax and that later he diagnosed your condition as Interstitial Cystitis. I am copying below an article on this ailment which is of interest as it indicates that it is a general condition which 'most researchers believe it is not one, but several diseases'.
What is IC/PBS?

http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/interstitialcyst....
Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a condition that results in recurring discomfort or pain in the bladder and the surrounding pelvic region. The symptoms vary from case to case and even in the same individual. People may experience mild discomfort, pressure, tenderness, or intense pain in the bladder and pelvic area. Symptoms may include an urgent need to urinate, a frequent need to urinate, or a combination of these symptoms. Pain may change in intensity as the bladder fills with urine or as it empties. Women’s symptoms often get worse during menstruation. They may sometimes experience pain during vaginal intercourse.

Because IC varies so much in symptoms and severity, most researchers believe it is not one, but several diseases. In recent years, scientists have started to use the terms bladder pain syndrome (BPS) or painful bladder syndrome (PBS) to describe cases with painful urinary symptoms that may not meet the strictest definition of IC. The term IC/PBS includes all cases of urinary pain that can’t be attributed to other causes, such as infection or urinary stones. The term interstitial cystitis, or IC, is used alone when describing cases that meet all of the IC criteria established by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).'

You have stated that you intend taking Arnica as an alternative to the drugs that you have used but I do not think that Arnica alone can help you as it will not eradicate the bacteria that are the cause of your Dysuria. You will have to first do a Urine culture and an ABS test to check the sensitivity of the bacteria to an antibiotic. You will then take the appropriate AB for about 10 days and evaluate the result. The AB of choice is Ciprofloxacin 500 taken twice daily and I presume that the doctors whom you consulted may have prescribed this drug. Please comment and also give a detailed history of your case and the drugs you have used so far.

To Patient 25

Please give a full history of your case with the drugs that you have taken so far to enable me to help you as the information that you have given is not sufficient for me to advise you.

You refer to an aggravation caused by Selenium. Please give details on what potency was used and for which ailment.

Dear Joe,
Thanks for your quick reply. I was taken Selenium-6 for one month and Selenium-30 weekly dose for another one month for my erectile disfunction and prostatic fluid secretion. But it result pain and inflammation in prostate, which disable erection.

For antidote this aggravation, I have taken Pulsatillah-30 two dose in the gap of two hours and get positive result within two days. My main aggravaion was pain in center of prostate, which has reduced by this antidote; and erection is enabled. But other aggravation like pain and tightness in left and right prostate still exist and also suffer urine urgency come in a second. In order to eliminate rest of these problems, I again took antidote (Pulsatilla) after one week in same way. But now the problems still exist, and my testicle was temporarily affected by antidote remedy.

Dear Doctor, can you please tell, what should I do now? Is the antidotes I already taken is enough for me and I have just to wait for results? Usually how many days needed to completely eliminate an aggravation?

Is it necessary to take the total dose and potency of antidote to be same as the potency and dose of original remedy which caused aggravation?

Please consult an Urologist and get a diagnosis of your problem and confirmation that you do suffer from Prostatitis.

The facts that you have recorded do not seem to confirm that you suffer from Prostatitis.
