Acne help for my 16 year old son
HelloI am the mother of a 16 year old son/ He has had acne problems for 2 1/2 years. We have tried doctors, antibiotics, peels, etc. Nothing is working. Our next step is accutane, and I don't want to do this. We are currently taking a homeopathic remedy by Natures cure? for males, but not helping too much. Can you please help?? My son is moody, grumpy kid and not too happy. Thank you!

Please give him three doses of Nux Vomica 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back after 15 days.
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.
Please don't give him any other homeopathic remedy.

Thank you for replying. Wanted to give you a fuller picture of son. He is a shy kind of introverted boy, antisocial except with his few friends. Grumpy and irritable and short temper at times. He is slow moving, lazy type, nothing is that big of a deal to him. Not a studier for school, video games and computer are his thing. He also has problem with excessive sweating of palms and feet. He is 6'1'
and 135 pounds. Fair complected. His acne is not pussy, but nodular where he will get hard red bumps under skin. He has scars from acne, so face looks red marked. Do you still think Nox Vomica is correct remedy? Acne 1??

#1 - What I mean by grumpiness is bad attitude - negative thinker. if I ask him something he usually has an attitude, talks back, won't listen, knows everything. His overall frame of mind is kind of unhappy, unmotivated, kind of down in the dumps, not a lot of emotion, not to excited about anything - thinks negatively, He doesn't really focus on what I say, hard to get his attention. Everything is a big pain to do - he complains a lot. I think there is low self esteem also. Just no big smiles or lots of happiness or joyfulness or loving the day. Keeps to himself, stays in bedroom alot unless we force him outside to go do something - get out of house and get active. Has friends, they mostly come over and hang out in room too. He is this way most of the time. Occasionally he snaps out of it and acts upbeat but not as often as I would like.

As you seems new to homoeopathy, I would like to tell the golden rule of homoeopathy i.e. single medicine and minimum dose.
Usually, we try this golden rule and if there is lack of response due to any reason then we go for repeated dosing.
Nux Vomica is one of the best medicines for start treatment espically if patient has taken various allopathic medicines.
Acne is basically related to hormones so it is hard to cure or manage easily.

I tried to purchase the remedies locally in California and could not find the Nox Vomica 200 C strength so I ordered from internet pharmacy called RX Homeo. I did not realize at time of purchase product was coming from an FDA registered process center in India and apparently having to clear customs. Is this normal to come from overseas?? I have never ordered anything that was not in the U.S. and am concerned. Is this normal??
Should I be concerned with quality?? This makes me very uncomfortable and a little aprehensive to have my son ingest product I am unfamiliar with and not from the U.S.
Can you please advise me on this??

Don't be unnecessarily concerned. Millions of Indians take homeopathic remedies made in India and live a happy life. Rocket Technology is not needed to manufacture homeo remedies. So you should not worry about these petty things. Please give him the medicine and report back as suggested earlier.

Question on 1st dosage of Nux Vomics 200 C. There were 2 to choose from, a single dose and one with 80 pellets. I bought the 80 pellets ?? Is this correct or did I need to purchase 3 single doses for his first treatment?? You said to give 3 doses 4 hours apart of 200 c for one day.
Do I need to reorder 3 single dose, or can I use the 80 pellets? If I can use the 80 pellets, how many pellets equal a 200C dosage??
I just ordered last night. There is still time to change and reorder if need be.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be used but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops or 5 pellets of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.
It is understood that no other drugs or remedies that will be used if this Arnica therapy is used.
It may also be applied topically in the wet dose with your fingertips on problem areas several times a day for better results.
I am not a hundred percent clear but am pretty sure this will help me be pretty soon.

Along with the homeopathic medicine, it is very important to take care of your skin.
you should remember to wash ur face on a regular basis. This doesnt mean scrubbing it around the clock though. A good acne skin care routine will involve two regular washings a day with a mild cleansing agent. Occasional in between cleansings are okay, too, but not all the time.
When washing the face, you should remember to take care not to scrape, scrub or pop breakouts as this can actually worsen the condition. The use of a mild soap or cleanser that doesn't leave behind a filmy residue is also important.
Keep hands off. It's never an advised part to touch or pop pimples or effected skin. Resist the urge, at all costs, to pop or scrape breakouts as this can lead to permanent scarring, which won't go away no matter how good a skin care routine is.
Avoid the sun. While the sun might make acne prone skin look better for a time, it won't for long. Sunburned or dried out skin can actually be more prone to breakouts, which isn't what anyone wants. Plus, too much exposure to the sun is just plain bad for the skin in general. To follow an especially good acne skin care routine, it's important to avoid burning, peeling and drying out. Your skin will thank you for it.

Did not see any results from Nux Vomica 200 C. Saw post of Arnica 6c and 30 c and tried this before replying back to you (sorry) and that hasn't helped either.

I have a question, what do you think of the homeopathic ingredients in the remedy of Natures Cure that I listed? I see it has sulfides in it, what is your opinion of ingredients in this remedy to treat acne for male hormonal teenagaers??
As I mentioned before, we had been taking for 4-6 weeks, but since I am new to homeopathic medicine, he wasn't taking it properly, I was touching pills with hands, and he was chewing pill, not dissolving as you have instructed me and not taking on empty stomach. Do you think good of this remedy and reason for it not working was my improper use???
