Urgent: 5 month old with high fever
My son is 5 months old and has had a high fever for almost a day now. We have been sick for over 2 weeks now (sore throat, runny nose, cough, green mucous in eyes). We started to feel a lot better (all that was left was a little bit of a cough and crusty nose) and then all of a sudden he got a fever of 101.7 at 10:30pm last night and the dr told me to give tylenol every 4 hours and a cool bath to get the fever down. His fever went down and I have been giving him tylenol every 4-6 hours to keep it down. But now it is back up, even with the tylenol and the dr can't see us today, please help!This has been his schedule of things since last night:
10:30pm
- Really fussy and hot
- Breast fed
- Temp 101.7
- Tylenol & cool bath
- Temp went down and he went to sleep
12:30am
- Breast fed
- he didn't feel hot so I didn't check his temp, just let him sleep
4:00am
- Breast fed
- Felt really hot and was fussy
- Took temp it was 101.8
- Gave Tylenol and placed wet washcloth on his head
- Back to sleep at 4:30
9:00am
- Breast fed
- Gave Tylenol so that temp wouldn't come back
- Took temp it was 99.8
12:15pm
- Breast fed
- He was out of it, staring at stuff and not moving much.
- Back to sleep
1:10pm
- Gave Tyleno
- Crying and wants to be held
2:30pm
- Woke up crying and really hot
- Breast fed
- Ear temp 100.8
- Rectal temp 101.3
- Called Dr, they can't fit us in today, said to keep giving cool baths and check soft spot to make sure it isn't bulging or sunken in.

In this case you may give him three doses of Arsenicum Album 200c or 30c for only one day and from next day onward you may give him 2 pellets of ferrum phos 6x thrice a day for few days and see whether it helps.
One dose of Ars Alb means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drop in some 5 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Whenever a homeo remedy is sought the following details should be given -
1. Mental symptoms
whether the patient is irritable, calm, mild, wants to be carried always etc.
2. Physical symptoms
In addition to the main complaint like fever details about his bowel movements, sweating, frequency of passing urine should be given.
3. Thermal modalities
Whether the patient prefers cold surroundings and open air or warm and like being covered.
4. Time modalities
At which time he is better and at which time worse. Like better in the morning and worse in the evening etc.
5. Causative Factor
What in your opinion are the causative factors that triggered this problem.
