Routine homeopathy to prevent a child's ear infections and antibiotic use

Hallo, doctors. I would like to ask if it is possible to get a my son on a preventative scheme for what seems to be a recurring ear infection instead of acting post factum when the infection is full blown and the pain and the fever is present.

I am not in touch with my homeopathic practitioner anymore because I relocated but I remember from him that it is possible for a child to take the dosage a couple of times a month as a preventive measure. I would like to establish a routine like that instead of the antibiotic routine we have thus far. Please help me with advice if you think it is possible. Here is a little bit about my son I could answer more questions if needed.

He is 5 ½. Born normally without complications, full term. Severe colic the first 5-6 months then everything was fine. No serious illnesses so far except high fever every once in a while - 1-2 twice a year from regular colds (but so far he bounced back quickly on the 2 or 3rd day was up and running around). Has NOT had pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis -- all things I had dealt with by age seven because of going to kindergarten. Walked at 13 months spoke at about 24 months but he is also bilingual. He is not in kindergarten or school yet. No developmental delays or anything like that. Normal child. Tons of energy. Runs and plays a lot. Hates napping in the afternoon and considers it an obstacle to his daily routine of games and crafts. Would do anything to get out of napping. Very strongly opinionated and inquisitive, curios. Knows how things need to be done and discusses it with you. Hard to get to agree on things which makes him a difficult patient when he is not feeling well. Extremely sensitive. Afraid of dark but not in his room. Tends to get mad at times (when too tired or not understood). Has lots of imaginary friends and is very busy during the day acting out scenarios from the life of big people. Likes sweets - donuts, cakes, icing, candy. Sweats profusely especially on head. Very thin. Tall for his age. Brunette. Eats well - meat 2-3-4 times a week, vegetables and fruits, a lot of pasta. Occasionally gets a treat but I make sure he stays away from sodas and the junk category of foods. Likes fried food. Normal stool. Normal sleep: about 12 hours every night and likes to get up early in order to not miss anything. At every visit to any doctor’s office they note that he has tight ear canals that are always full of wax (I believe this is the main culprit behind the ear infections).

First ear infection was in Sept 2009. Left year. No apparent cause I thought in fact I was to blame because his left side is turned to me in the shower so I thought I probably put water in it by accident. Never had to take antibiotic before in his life. This time he had amoxicillin for 6 days and on the sixth day like clock had the pink itchy painful rash all over his body (which I later read online happens to a lot of people). So he did not finish the ten day antibiotic course but recovered ok.

In January 2010 he started swimming lessons once a week. And on march 2, 2010 woke up not feeling well short of breath and with a pink eye (right side). A lot of hard yellow mucus in his nose and stuffy nose. The doctor said it was bacterial conjunctivitis and prescribed a week of antibiotic drops which we finished. In the middle of the all this and before we finished the drops he woke up in severe pain one morning in his right ear but we warmed it up and it was ok. March 9, he comes to me and says headache. He is still winded. Lost 1 kg already and the low grade fever is on and off. We went back to the doctor who said ear infection, amoxicillin for ten days and here we are again. According to the doctor the swimming had nothing to do with it.

He will have to take the antibiotics this time again because by the time I order and receive any homeopathy it will be a week from today. But I want to stop this cycle. I do not want to stop him from swimming. I would rather get something I could give him routinely to have the wax drain by itself. I am planning on having him swim once a week at least through the end of 2010 so he can complete all levels, but the ear infections are really worrying me and have me thinking. My questions are:

1. Would it be possible to take something all throughout 2010 to make sure his years drain and to prevent infections.

2. I also read online that it is good to use 3-4 drops of solution 1:1 or 1:3 vinegar and alcohol or only alcohol after each swim to prevent bacteria from growing. Is this a good idea to use along with homeopathy to keep my son antibiotic free at least when it comes to the ears and ear infections.

I would appreaciate all advice and feedback! Thank you!
