Joe De Livera ( need accurate dosage of Arnica Q mix )
to Joe: 10 ml pack as this necessary for the emulsion with olive oil in 5 % mix, what I come to know that 190 ml olive oil with 10 ml Arnica Q mix together to get the solution or emulsion, please let me know if this measurment is correct.platinum on 2010-03-19
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is not necessary at all to use up the whole bottle of Olive oil which you state is 190ml. Remember that you will not soak your hair with this emulsion. You will only use it on your finger tips to massage the roots of your hair as otherwise the results will be very messy.
Speaking from personal experience as I too use this emulsion daily after a shower, I estimate that a 25ml emulsion of 5% Arnica Q with Olive oil will last over 6 months.
You will observe that the emulsion will be different from the pure olive oil and will have a distinct colour after you have mixed it. There should be no dark brown residue at the bottom when you leave the bottle for a few hours as it emulsifies when shaken.
It is best not to start a new thread every time you wish to raise a query as you can continue your questions on the original thread.

thankyou so much for getting back to me this soon i'm sorry for starting a new thread from now on i will continue any further inquiry on the original thread.Sir Joe the problem i'm still having is to do right measurements which i don't know how i really don't want the result to become very messy so plz guide me i just recieve 15 ml arnica q today waiting to mix with 5% of olive oil but don't know how or kindly tell me how many ml of arnica Q mix with how many ml of olive oil, thanks.

Take a spoon and use it as the measure to pour out 4 spoonfuls of Olive Oil into a bottle.
Pour out a spoonful of Arnica Q and mix it into the Olive Oil.
You now have a 5% mix of Arnica Q to the Olive Oil.
Pour out a spoonful of Arnica Q and mix it into the Olive Oil.

Correction to my last post which I did late last night.
1 Spoon Arnica Q mixed in 4 Spoons Olive Oil will give you a 20% mix and NOT a 5%.
A 20% mix is wasteful of the Arnica Q although it will not do any harm. If you have already mixed it into a bottle, you can double the quantity of the mix of Olive Oil and Arnica Q to dilute it more and you will then arrive at a 10% mix.
Massage the emulsion into the hair roots on the scalp with the tips of your fingers daily to stimulate the growth of hair.

Thankyou joe for making that correction, i did already mix it 1 spoon arnica q mix with 4 spoons of olive oil so now what you want me to do is to add 4 more spoons of olive oil into the remaining mixture, correct not touching the arnica q. and apply to my scalp,do i only apply to the area where there is no hair or i can apply to my whole scalp.

Also joe if one has defiency of intake iron could he or she can take it with arnica 30c and cod liver oil. That could be also one reason for hairfall or arnica will do it all. Also someone has told me to eat liver but my question is i'm already taking cod liver oil so isn't that enough i'm just really worried and down my condition is not good when its come to hairfall, Plz takecare thanks

Hi joe i had a really bad day today, after applying the arnica q with olive oil my hair fall out twice as much as it usually do with just one wash without even combing it joe my scalp was even showing more my question is how long do i keep this oil in my hair and can i apply for only 2 hrs before i'm going to wash my hair, i hope i get good results like you did and many many others did

There is absolutely no question that Arnica Q in a 5% emulsion in Olive Oil can increase Hair Loss. This has never been reported to me for the last 35 years when I first started on Homeopathy. Please stop the massage of your hair with the Olive oil for the moment.
I notice that you have not mentioned about taking Arnica 30c in the Wet dose which is also part of this therapy. We have been discussing about Arnica Q on this thread but it is possible that on your first thread I have prescribed taking the Arnica 30c in the Wet dose twice daily.
Please do so ASAP and report results.

hi joe and yes its been a week i am taking arnica 30c and i started with arnica q mix with olive oil just yesterday with ur giving measurements so you saying i should stop the arnica q solution at the moment and also my head is being scrathy and i was reading on the hairloss posts and i just discover abt iodine tincture is that something i should even think for i'm in bad bad shape joe plz suggest me i'm very down at the moment....

also this is how you wanted me to do the mixture measurement 8 spoonful of olive oil with one spoonful of arnica q that will arrive to 10% mix this is exactly what i did do you want me to wash my hair now if you want me to quit at the moment another thing is i apply yesterday before washing my hair then this morning i apply again after a wash i followed you by you saying that you apply mother tincture daily after wash. I can do this once or twice a week if you wish plz let me know.

Do not use:
Arnica Q directly on your scalp. You may only use the 5% emulsion with Olive Oil.
The emulsion more than once daily.
Iodine Tincture on your scalp as I did not prescribe it.

Joe i have never use Arnica q direct on my scalp i have use it with the measurements you have provided if you see the thread page you'll no and its coming to 10% not 5% and that was ur given measurements and i know you didn't prescribe iodine tincture just wanted ur opinion on it

An Emulsion is the mixture of oil and water. As you are aware, oil is not miscible with water but oil does mix in very fine particles which are suspended in the water. When you mix Arnica Q with Olive Oil the mix or the Emulsion is a golden colour.
I instructed you to stop the Arnica Q since you reported that you had noticed that you were shedding your hair at double your normal rate. Please report if you notice any change in your loss of hair after you stop.
It is rather messy to use the Arnica Q twice daily but I use it myself just after my shower before dinner and use just 4-6 drops on my finger tips to massage it into the scalp.

i have probably use it more than 6 drops because as i was applying one drop on my scalp it was drying off from my fingertips and you stated that you use it before dinner after ur shower so basically you leaving it in for only overnight on the other hand i'm leaving in for day and night maybe this is what went wrong.I will certainely report you my updates i hope i give you good news this time

You do not have to soak your scalp and hair with the Olive oil emulsion. It is important that the emulsion is massaged into the hair roots and it will invariably arrest hair loss NOT increase it.
I have used it for the last 30 years and owe my head of hair at age 80 to it and the Arnica that I take nightly.
I leave it for 24 hours till my next shower the day after.

ummmm i have read and understood each words of yours and eknowledge it carefully i will be careful from now on of not soaking my hair with this emulsion last question do i apply this emulsion only on the area where there is no hair or i can massage this to my entire scalp.... again its very kind of you to take some time out and guide me through every step who does this these days.

The best method of getting the emulsion to the roots of your hair is to pour a few drops of Olive oil on a flat container like a saucer and insert the tips of your fingers into it just sufficient to wet them. You then proceed to part the hair and massage your scalp with the roots of your hair are stimulated. You do not have to soak your hair as it is too messy.

Hi Joe i wanted to give you an update on arnica 30c and arnica q with olive oil emulsion that i have been applying i see very little improvement like instead more than 100 hair a day i was loosing now is inbetween 55 to 60 i don't know if is too soon for me to give you updates on this treatment now my question is do i apply arnica q with olive oil daily in my hair or i can skip a day because as you said we should not wash are hair daily as its important for our scalp to release oil and do i apply only the areas where there is no hair or i can apply on my entire scalp and im also taking arnica 30 c wetdose twice daily and cod liver oil. And can i also take Iron pills.

Hi its me again i also have question abt one of my triplets that i deliver 15 months ago, all my 3 babies were premeture but now they are healthy in medical wise and no longer count as premeture 2 of my babies love to eat or like to eat their meal portion happily except one of my 2nd triplet who always give me hard time she is very tall and skinny all my babies are tall but they look fuller except my 2nd triplet whenever i feed her something she will make faces and spit it out what can i give her to so she can love to eat or start eating or getting hungrier if you can suggest something

You mentioned the Triplets. I believe that your loss of hair is perhaps due to the trauma that your body had when you gave birth to them. If you did any IVF to have them, this would also have contributed to the hair loss which is a small price to pay for the joy of having them.
You are advised to continue with the protocol I have prescribed for you which I too am using and I can assure you that it works. You may lose some few hairs daily but you will observe in the long run that your hair will regrow and that you will not grow bald.
Stop the iron pills as they can also be responsible for the hair loss.
I have helped the case of a baby who was younger around 8 months of age and was refusing his feed and throwing it up some years ago. I first prescribed Nat Phos 6x but when it did not help in a few days I prescribed Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose which was given by the mother in just a few drops mixed into the formula. This worked.
You may use this idea and give your little girl about a quarter teaspoonful of the remedy made in the same manner that you made the Arnica Wet dose. Give it to her about half hour before a meal and report her response.
Remember that you may only use 3 drops of Nux Vomica 30c in a 500ml bottle of spring water

Yes joe i did have triplets from an IVF procedure and you right my body did went threw trauma like you said i had no help at all i have not been sleeping well since i start taking arnica 30c and now i sleep like a baby by still waking up 6 times at night to comfort my babies. And i was not taking any iron pills just wanted to ask you if i can take them i was told due to defeciency of a iron in a body can also relate to the hairloss issue
And Nux Vomica 30c can i also give this too my other 2 babies even if they eating fine sometimes, if there is no harm.

I would prefer that you give it to the difficult one and report her response before you give the Nux V to the other two.
Nux V is a remedy and may only be used as a medicine only when needed. It cannot be used as a tonic like Arnica which I am glad you discovered helps you to recover your strength better when you sleep.
