The ABC Homeopathy Forum

I'm new and need some help!

Hello, I'm a 24 year vegetarian female. I work full time in an ad agency and go to school for holistic nutrition in the evenings. I eat lot's of grains (maybe too much) veggies, beans and fruits. I cut milk out of my diet about 6 months ago and I only occasionally eat cheese and other dairy product. I drink red wine and beer on occasion.

I have been experiencing many problems for the past 12 months. It all started in March 2004 with uppershoulder and neck pain and by May 2004 it moved into my head and my jaw. My shoulder and neck are always cracking whenever I stretch. I have tension almost every day and I have very frequent dull headaches. The headaches are located in the front of my head above the eyes and at the very back of the head (occipital) I went to physio for 3 months and it didn't help. I wake up in the morning and my shoulders are so tense that I have to pull them down. In Sept 2004 I started taking Cod Liver Oil and Magnesium which helps.

In June 2004 I started to become very thirsty all the time. I drink quite a bit of water so I was surprised. I also noticed teeth marks on my tongue and it a thin white coating. I got tested both kinds of diabetes and the test came back negative. After awhile I began to notice that not only am I thirsty but I have post nasal drip. I am always swallowing back very thick mucous and no matter how hard I try I can't cough it up. I have noticed that my breath hasn't been very fresh and I always have a bad taste in my mouth.

Lately, my eyes get very tired and I have trouble staying awake...no matter how much sleep I get. I also noticed my vision sometimes blurry.

I feel that I may be unbalanced but I don't how to remedy the balance. I have thought about going on a fast but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do.

I went to see an Osteopath a few months ago and I had xrays done. The xrays showed that nothing was wrong and I didn't feel that the osteopath was going to help and I couldn't afford it so I stopped going. I am wondering if any foods might be related to my problems. Before this I have never had any health problems.
I take multivitamins, cod liver oil, magnesium (sometimes calcium too), and I have been on birth control pills for 4 years. I stopped last year for a few months to see if it helped and it didn't so I went back on them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I am getting very frustrated with my health.
Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am not sure how to get it tested, but you may have thrush or candida. Both are similar, but shows up differently. The tongue is a big clue, and other things.

Drinking beer is the worst for candida. Bad sugars. Carbs are bad. Too many hidden sugars. Hope you do not drink any sodas?

An easy test would be to get some Chein Chin, an oriental herb. Very inexpensive. If you cannot find in health store, get on line. "inhoops" had the site listed on her posting.

Take 5 little balls 3 times daily until bottle empty. If you are much better, you will know it was the candida. You would then have to adjust your diet to less or none for awhile, sugars.

There are other things you could get also, but this is an easy cheap test. Won't hurt the body.

You are wise to get the other testing done. This way you don't have to guess.

Think about the lack of protein. Try some acceptable protein replacements like Bragg Soy protein. It is like soy sauce with no wheat.

Also there is a chance of becomming sensitive to wheat gluten. Study up on this. Eat only one type of grain at the time. Other grains have a similar gluten.

Please let us know.

Thanks Sabra!

Forunately, I don't drink soda... but I will cut out the beer for the time being.

I ordered some Chien Chin online. It's interesting that you mention sugar has alot to do with candida. I find that I get headaches sometimes after eating sugar.

For now I am going to try the Chein Chin and look at adding some more protein for my diet. If that doesn't work out I'll look into wheat gluten.

After looking into what Candida is all about, I feel like I might be on the right track.
Thanks so much for your advice.

Hi Sabra,

I started taking the Chein Chin 3 days ago and today I feel really terrible... bad headache, really thirsty, bad taste in mouth. Am I supossed to get worse before I get better? Any info would be great.

Thanks!

Yes, when the body is in a "habit" of being the way it is, if we insert another thing for it to deal with, often the body doesn't like it.

Cut the dosage to two little balls 3 times a day and see if this is helpful.

If you have been taking only a little already. Stop for a week and begin with small dosage after the week.

This is the first time anyone has reported this. So by cutting back or stopping and then beginning again, this will tell us more.

Check your diet again. Are you taking in any nightshade foods? Potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant. Peas are related to peanuts and some people cannot eat peas. Check your seasonings. There is a book out on food combining, and you may be combining things that do not agree with your body.

No caffeine, as it is a diuretic that will remove water faster than you can take it in. At least 10 cups a day.

Also, a consideration is the removal of the beer. The body is used to this and may "cry" like a child at it's removal.

As we mature, we need to understand more about ourselves. We no longer can just do as we wish.

Are you using any new cleaning things? DO NOT USE any spray junk to CLEAN THE AIR; what rot!!! Do not believe anything on TV, it is all negative hypnosis to relieve you of your money...there is NO benefit to you, only the manufacturer.

Keep posting.

Blessings, Sabra

hi there, I cut back on the chien chin and I am starting to feel better. I am taking 2 balls three times a day. But now I have another problem! I've had eczema since I was a baby. It was really bad about 10 years ago but has since cleared up and not been much of a problem, but now it has come out really strong. My right arm is really itchy and I am geting dry patches all over my face, especially around my right eye... I am taking cod liver oil but it does not seem to be helping. any recommendations?

I know nothing about Chein Chin or its action, but if it is throwing out a skin condition you've suppressed, hurrah. Please do not use any medication to push the eczema back in - it may be tiresome and uncomfortable, but just use mild lubricating agents (a mixture of rose water and glycerine, for example) to soften the skin. Just writing this in case you feel tempted to Do Something about the itching before Sabra gets to see this.
