Really need some help!

Hi,
Since i often get acne outbreaks i am left with these horrible red marks. Now i read somewhere that an effective way to get rid of them is to use Apple cider vinegar diluted. I used this for quite some time and i must have done it too strong because i have ended up burning myself quite badly around my nose area.
That was about 4 months ago and now it has left me with this deep red patch all around my nose :(. It is really getting me depressed.
Is there anything that you can suggest to help get rid of it.
I am really desperate.

Thanks alot for any help.

It is really red and is aggrivated when i am hot it doesnt itch though. It has peeled twice when i first got it.

There is in this forum a lot of things to do about acne .
Put the word into the "search" box along side the page.

You need glycolic acid diluted to 10% or less. This will eventually get rid of the redness, since it's a strong alpha-hydroxy acid.

The acne itself, you will need to use a good wash such as ones containing Salysilic Acid at 2%. You can get this from Neutrogena or RiteAid or Longs, etc. This will open the pours, and then you can add benzyl peroxide at 2.5%. Apply generously to the affected acne area.

sorry dadoody but I think I prefer rabia's cleanser suggestion. Is yours not a bit harsh? Did it work for you? I would be interested to know?

windwaker - if this area is burnt then aloe vera (straight from the cactus) is very helpful to use. When I was in florida this was the most popular and successful for sunburn and I always use it for burns/scalds of any description. THe preservative in the prepared aloe vera does not help that is why I suggest straight from the plant.

the best thing for burns is Picric Acid --- but what the """"" has that got to do with acne?.
