Eruptions/ scabs on skin

My husband (age 31yrs) has eruptions/ scabs on his limbs year round, though more aggravated in winters as he has to wear woollen clothing. Eruptions are like red botches which tend to ooze fluid in some days and then keep spreading in size. They itch a lot. He has to apply a steriod cream to curtail their growth.
We realised he matches mental characteristics of a sulphur personality to a T. Thus he took 1M dose of sulphur..for the next 1-2 days there were no fresh eruptions and existing ones dried up. But this was shortlived and they again begin to grow. Growth was again curtailed when he took another dose after some days...but again for few days only.

Does this mean he needs to a higher potency or 1M only but on a periodic basis? Request doctors to pls advise.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him a single dose of Phosphorus 200c for only one day (not daily) and see how that affects him in the next 15 days.
You should go by the advice of your family homeopath (Rishi) if he gives a different suggestion. Rishi seems to be very busy now a days. But we could see him ocassionaly due to you and your daughter. So thanks for making Rishi appearing at the forum.

Thank you for your reply. Would try phosphorus and revert.

We live in India and am sorry to say but homeopaths here believe in giving routine medicines for a long time. Hence do not prefer going to them anymore.

..Sorry sir, though you mentioned to report to you after 15 days..we are writing to you after only 6 days of Phos 200c as my scabs on my husband's legs have begun to expand (reddish outgrowths on the periphery of existing wounds) and if not applied steroid now would begin oozing.
Pls advise,

Kind Regards

Whether any changes took place at mental level? Have you ever tried bc 20?

kadwa last decade
Nothing very noticable, though for the last 2-3 days he had a very sound sleep.
Not sure what you mean by bc 20, can you pls explain,

Kind Regards

Oh, u refering to Bio-chemic 20..not tried so far. Should he start taking this?

Regards

Indu04 last decade
Yes.

Does he need to repeat Phosphorus every 15 days or so with BC 20 or only BC 20 to be taken?

Since i have seen you endorsing tissue salts on the forum..i had like to ask you about my daughter also. I end up giving calc carb to my daughter anywhere between 7 -10 days for her sleep problems (her sleep has actually improved a lot since she has had calc carb)..but not sure if continued use is ok (though Dr. Rishimba did opine it is fine). Can I give her Calc Phos 6x (she is anyways havings BC21). Will it do the trick?

i have copied Rishi Model of homeopathy so if Rishi and i say something, whatever Rishi says should only hold.
He is a wonderful homeopath who not only thinks at a fantastic plane but he helps people like me understand what he thinks.
If calc carb is helping your little girl you should stick to calc carb only. Actually i read your daughter's case when you posted it but i couldn't understand it and didn't give any advice. i could see how well Rishi dealt with the case, first he gave cina and then calc carb. In my opinion calc phos being a close remedy to calc carb may antidote calc carb if given in low potency. So that kind of switch is not advisable.
At that thread only i have read that you have given bc for teething troubles to your daughter and i came to know that you are familiar with bc.
The only change that i have effected in Rishi Model is that i advice bio-chemic or herbal remedies as follow-up remedies. i know that Rishi doesn't prescribe like this. But this is how every two prescribers will always differ.
In the case of your husband bc-20 or the ayurvedic remedies
Haridra Khanda 1/2 tsp with water in the morning and evening
and
One tablet of Trayodashang Guggulu with some 20 ml mahamanjishdati pravahi in the morning and evening.
may be used as follow-up remedies.

It is better not to repeat Phos if the improvement at the mental plane due to earlier dose has not significantly relapsed. In any case Phos 200 should not be repeated within less than 15 days.

Breathing exercises should also help him a lot.

How is your mother-in-law now?

kadwa last decade
Thank you Dr Kadwa for your opinion. Guess would be able to give calc carb to my daughter without hesitation now!

My Mother-in-law currently is now on allopathic medicines. Angiography showed weakened heart muscles working only 30%. Doctors have opined she would need a pacemaker in near future. Thank you for your concern.

I would just want to add few more details for my husband if it helps the case-
- Used to suffer from cold & severe cough on & off accompanied with high fever. Heavy wheezing at times..is more frequent in cold places and high altitude (e.g. whenever we visit mountains. leh experience was bad). Had taken sulphur (200C periodically for 3-4weeks, about 2 months ago) which cleared his cough. Since then there has been nothing.
- He is really keen to cure his migraine attacks though as they kind of debilitate him on a normal working day. Pounding pain, behind the eye, nauseauous..though has never thrown up.
- Recent tests showed his cholesterol levels are on borderline..has changed his diet since and is more disciplined in food.
- Ayurvedic medicines generally make him nauseaous..esp in the morning. He had started Arjuna sometime back for cholesterol but had to stop because of excess acid in mornings.
- Mental make-up: Extreme anxiety / related tension for even small things not going in a planned fashion. At times this also triggers his wheezing. Not sure if there is a connection but his father has had a nervous break-down (at ~35yrs) and was on suppressants for a long time. still suffers from Obessive compulsive dis-orders - like wd keep washing hands for some time.
- Was forced to grow up soon. Has been earning and studying simultaneously since in his mid-teens to support family. (father not too well)

Appreciate your opinion,

Regards

Have he taken Calc, Lyc and Nux in the past? If yes, what was the response? What was the response of other symptoms to Phos.

kadwa last decade
Has taken Nux for acidity etc..doesnot do much for him. Has not tried Lyc or Calc.

Indu04 last decade
Response to Phos...not sure if this has been on account of Arjuna or Phos, but he has a lot of acid early morning (bitter taste in the mounth) because this has started the day after he had Phos. Has stopped Arjuna since then.

Indu04 last decade
If you don't think that Phos is his remedy on the basis of his response to Phos in 15 days, you may consider the Hahnemannian trio of calc - lyc - sulph - calc for him. The order is very important and should not be changed. Similarly there is no need to switch to next remedy in the cycle quickly. The switching should be done after receiving full benefit from the present remedy. Similarly each remedy should be given sufficient time to work and may be taken at successively higher potencies (if it seems to be working better that way) instead of quickly switching to the next remedy.

i think that calc carb may also work for your mother-in-law.

kadwa last decade
Sir, as recommended wd try the trio. Is a 15 day gap sufficient between medicines and should they be taken in 200c potencies? Further should BC20 be taken along with this. Pls advise.

Regards
Indu.

Indu04 last decade
The last trio remedy taken was Sulphur, so you should either start with Sulphur or Calc Carb and then maintain the sequence. 200c potency should be allowed to act for 15 days. You may start with 30 then go to 200 and then 1M for each remedy if it seems to help. It is better to try bc-20 before entering the trio and see whether it helps.

kadwa last decade
Thank you. Would keep you posted on the progress.

Indu04 last decade
Sir, pardon repeated messages. Do you think Merc Sol fits the bill here. I am taking the liberty of discussing with you. We will do as you suggest, but just wanted your opinion on this.

Indu04 last decade
Sir, he started on the trio as suggested and had calc carb 3 days ago.
Can Calendula be applied locally to curb irritation?

Indu04 last decade
The cream should not be applied on the day of taking the remedy and on the next day of taking the remedy. On other days the cream may be applied.
