The ABC Homeopathy Forum

depression, overweight adult female

I'm not sure if homeopathy can help me. I am currently on three different pychotropic medications for depression. I have read that homeopathy doesn't work if you are taking other medications. I'm just hoping someone can help.

1. 262 pounds, five feet seven, trying to lose weight but it is very very slow
2. After having my daughter five years ago weight settled my torso, my belly is especially large
3. started overeating and binge eating around 17, gained a lot of weight in college, have lost and gained multiple times
4. All the time
5. I lose about ten pounds and then it just stops and I start gaining it back
6. No recurring dreams, tend to have very vivid dreams when I do remember them. Sleep from around 10 to 7 on weekdays, like to stay up into the wee hours and sleep in on the weekends.
7. Sensitive to everything. Very bothered by heat and humidity, stagnant air
8. Under a lot of stress due to being single parent, child's father (my ex) has emotional problems and harrasses me and causes problems. Lots of stress at work, never enough time to myself, feel like life is a whirlwind but that I am doing well considering. I tend to eat when I feel bored or like life is too much for me. Tend to give up on losing weight because it takes too long. I feel like I am looking in a fun house mirror sometimes. I go from feeling like I look ok, to feeling like I'm absolutely huge and completely unattractive, sometimes within five minutes. I go from wanting to be healthy to feeling like it will never happen, to feeling like I am giving in to what society thinks women should look like, and not wanting to get too much attention from men or to make other women jealous.
9. I love chocolate and carbs, bread, sugar. Protein tends to make me feel better.
10. Diagnosed with depression in 88, been on antidepressants since 94.
11. Reacted well to ADs for 11 years, then after had daughter lost efficacy. Been going back and forth between different meds since 2008
12. History of homeopathic treatment if any. N/A
13. Aversion to exercise, hate sweating, like to make excuses, feel guilty about taking time to exercise because I have to leave my child with someone else.
One important thing is that I was abused in all ways by my father. I have done a lot of work around that but feel like this weight is related to it somehow.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I forgot to mention I am 38. I also tend to get really tight muscles in my neck, especially when working a lot of overtime. I see a chiropractor for that. Also have pain in my right hip that comes and goes, feels like it is in the bone.
I also have a problem with forgetfulness which comes and goes, could be related to the antidepressants.
Thanks in advance for your help and if anyone has questions please ask.

Also I forgot to mention I have an unrealistic fear that if I lose weight my skin won't shrink and I will be covered in loose skin. I saw a woman who had issues with that and ever since then I've been so scared that will happen.

Please take three doses of Staphysagria 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back as to how that affected you at mental level.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.
